God I love these. It's hard to describe in full detail, but you just "get it". But not only do you understand the atmosphere and compositional style of Prime, you've somehow managed to fuse a piece of your own distinct style directly into the world of Prime, which is honestly kindly nutty.
I feel greedy for not getting enough of your Music. I imagine this could be the forgotten depths of Phendrana, icy caves, ancient ruins covered in ice, some space pirates patrouls looking for valuable technologies, Sheegoths who just appear live their naturally. Some frozen waterfalls, not easy to climb platforms & more. Your music is inspiring! Keep it up as always!
Very nice how the Phazon bells sounded in a more melodic-driven song, we're used to hear it in the dissonant sounds from Phazon Mines and Phaaze. Congrats! Love your work.
Thank you! Those bells are one of my favorite sounds from the game and I was really enjoying how well they sounded with the choir and creepy "Invaders" sound from the MP1 menu.
I knew the recent discovery of your channel was worth a sub! Awesome stuff! :) Gives me "Farewell"-vibes too; if that played in a credits scene I'd be even sadder than normally when finishing a Metroid game :D
This sounds amazing! Because I was curious, I also played it back at 1.5 speed, which has a nice groove to it and kind of reminded me of the F-Zero race intermission music. Very inspiring. Awesome track! :)
This is outstandingly great! I could see this fitting in seamlessly into Metroid Prime 1 and 2. It works great as an end credits theme but also an overworld theme! Fits the vibe perfectly. Look forward to more!!!
My birthday was on the 13th this month. These soundtracks are very awesome, very inspiring, keep up the excellent work.👍👍👍 I used to play metroid prime and metroid prime 2 echoes as a kid, listening to this brings back the wonders.
Sounds a lot like something you'd hear as a post-game track, like if they ever added the ability to go back to different areas after beating the game to grab collectibles you missed
I spent many hours looking around. There are some available its better to own the hardware after what I have been reading into. Id suggest looking into the the old emulators if you can find them or recently Native Instruments dropped something for Kontakt that lets you use stuff from some of the EMU packs but I am not sure its everything that you'd find in metroid.
@@tk-edge The EMU packs available from Digital Sound Factory are awful (missing presets and poor sampling), avoid those. You need a LOT of patience to get the sound modules or even just the ROMs for them. Check Craigslist across the US and Kijiji in Canada and inquire about shipping, if you can't find what you're looking for on eBay at a good price. Expect to pay about $650 for an Orbit-3 (or $500 for the ROMs), $250 for a Proteus 2000 (or $130 for the ROM), $250 for an Xtreme-Lead 1 (or $200 for the ROM). I spent $500 on my Orbit-3 ROMs from a Facebook group and $230 shipped from my P2000 off of a deal on Twitter from another musician... these things are getting expensive and harder to find x_x
@@SpeedySPCFan Speedy is definitely the expert on these modules. A lot of presets use the z-plane filter technology to make some really unique sounds, which you'll never be able to recreate perfectly with samplers unfortunately. MAME is starting to add preliminary support for E-MU's earlier modules so hopefully one day in the future these newer modules will be finally properly emulated.
@@SynaMax It sounds like these sounds are on the verge of being lost. Is that is true? If so, is there anything we can do to preserve them so that others can continue to make music with them?
@@pretzel1313 theyre not necessarily lost. Hey I always tried to find the sounds that you found were in the original soundtrack, but I only found some of them, is there someone that sampled the synths used?
My friend, unknown, is making a Kontakt sample library with some of the presets from the Korg MS2000. That way you can get the White Noise patch from Phendrana Drifts and the Whistle synth that's used a lot in the series.
@@SynaMax oh okay I'll look it up, see if I find anything. Because there were so much synths involved as there was such a big time gap between all the Metroid Prime games. I only wanted to do same as you :)

This is the real reason the Frigate Orpheon blew up.
Man if prime 4 is ever completed in this lifetime /s I hope they keep using the same sound effects. Maybe even use some of your tracks.
So sad these sounds didn't get used in more video game soundtracks, they are baller to listen to and i imagine working with them feels wonderful.

That Prime 808 sample sounds great in this track, that was always one of my favorite hits in the OST

Retro needs to make this the credits theme of Metroid Prime 4

What synthesizer does the choir sound at 1:15 come from? Was it from the E-MUs you’d recently acquired?
That preset is used in several Roland Sound Canvas synths, like the SC-880 or SC-88 Pro. Fortunately, Roland has the SC-88 Pro as a VST.
