    I'm a nubee to synth. Your demo was very valuable to me. You could say that it is "precious" to me. -- Thank you

    I've had plans to run my guitar through the Monologue for quite some time; this helpful video gives me a good starting point.

    Just discovered this video and at around 5 mins you've demonstrated something I've been searching for for years and years! If you know who William Orbit is and the tracks he worked on he has this signature sound that is I now Know is guitars through synths. If you listen to the track Pure Shores by all saints or Black Coffee, you will hear this signature sound throughout all his big songs including the solo stuff and production for Madonna.
    This is great work dude! Expand on that!
    Finley Quaye track Dice has this also from about 2mins 30
    and of course u2 electrical storm intro is this all over

    I've had my monologue for awhile now, but just now getting into running my external gear thru it to use it as an effects processor. This video is extremely helpful. thank you for this!

    I'm learning to run another keyboard through the monoloque. This has been very helpful. Thanks

    Oh man...great walkthrough. Only thing I missed was you cranking the resonance up on the filter and playing with LFO time to get a mad WAH effect 👌

    On Minilogue you could also use built-in delay effect and high pass filter. Otherwise line input on something like Monologue and Minilogue is best used with another synthesizer connected via MIDI. If you would connect eg. Volca Keys (read: simple 3 voice paraphonic synth) you could get kinda 3 voice polyphony - which isn't really but it is much harder to pick out you don't have real polyphony when you can do rudimentary chords. Also in this case voice from additional synth can use its own filter, LFO and resonance. One of the effects I like is to use some filtering and make decay shorter than on main synth - that way we get this richer sound the moment keys are pressed. Lots of combinations to try with additional synth.

    Thank you Ryan for this really nice video. I have a Korg minilogue and was thinking of bying a very expensive synth pedal for my guitar rig. Now I am wondering if I should use the Korg to process the guitar sound instead. Does the Minilogue work the same way?

    • @RYANMAKESBEATS
      @RYANMAKESBEATS  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for watching! I am pretty sure that the minilogue works the same way, however I have not done it myself. Appreciate you!

      As I understand it, the minilogue xd doesn't take input sound but the og minilogue does. Do not quote me on this however

    3:30 its tremolo, not vibrato (tremolo - volume modualtion, vibrato - pitch modulation), but overall a good video!

    This seems like a lot of work to essentially get the same result as a few pedals and an amp.
