AirFi CEO Job Heimerikx details LEO launch plan with Iridium Certus

AirFi, a leading provider of carry-on and aircraft-powered portable wireless IFE for airlines, is gearing up to launch a connected version of its box, called AirFi LEO. The solution will transmit via Iridium Certus service over Iridium's NEXT satellite constellation. AirFi is partnered with Certus value added reseller Skytrac on the project. Atlantic Airways is the launch customer for this offering, and equipage will begin at the end of November, AirFI CEO Job Heimerikx told Runway Girl Network at the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX)/IFSA Exhibition in Long Beach.
