Thank you for sharing this about Longleat - I’m planning a trip (or 2!) there next year as part of my 40th birthday celebrations and was really worried about how much I’d be able to do because of my wheelchair ♿️. I’m only a couple of hours up the road from there so I’m sure I’ll be a repeat visitor…!
Dear Gem, this video has been so amazing! I know there will the day come when we meet and then we should go to Longleat Park together! This looked so great! and you guys seemed to have fun! Thanks for sharing! a big hug from Germany, Britta
Hi Gem, looks like you all had a great time🤗 It's to far for us to travel too121 miles,😣 been to Woburn tho. Not as exciting as long leat.🤓 But still good, great video 😊
I remember when I was little my dad would take me to stately homes and he used to make up ghost stories about the houses he is a historian that looks like so much fun
Really liked this one! I thought you had a convertible auto when you went to the safari and thought, seeing the monkeys is not going to be good! It was really great that it was SO accessible, especially the house! We went to Fallingwater (Frank Lloyd Wright) in the US and my girlfriend could only access the living room. :( Coming to the UK would be a bit of a journey.
Yes I was supprised that I could go everywhere in the house. I never usually get to see everything. It was a pleasant surprise. Where are you in the world? x
I actually went there in July with my school and I feel so jealous you guys got to see the monkeys while when I went, probably so the coach doesn't get beaten, the driver skipped the monkey area and most of the others in my year were nuts over it.
It’s been such a long time since I went to Longleat, it looks so different. They have many more animals than I remember. It may be time for a revisit. Gem did you happen to notice if there was a Changing Places toilet?
Do you know I was going to include this in the vlog. And darn should have. Yes there is. And there is a company that comes on specific dates with a hoist. Ill see if i can find the screen shot and give you more info? x
I have a friend here in the US who came from Britain He always tells me "In Britain an old house is a thousand years old....in the US an old house is 100 years old....you folks tear everything down."
Wheelsnoheels - Gem Hubbard King Harry couldn’t have dined at the house as he died about 20 yrs prior to start of construction. It is an example of “Elizabethan” architecture. Henry may have dined at the Priory which became a private residence and then burned. Elizabeth R did visit twenty some years into her reign. The owners must have been favored as Elizabeth only visited once. (If she didn’t like you she visited often to keep you broke and her own expenses down, smart woman). Thank you for showing it as it has been nearly twenty years since my visit.
Yes Its been the summer holidays, So its been difficult to film. But my daughter is back to school this week. Then ill be posting twice a week Wed, and sundays. x
Yes I have. Probably smaller than Longleat. You can go around monkeys either on a special bus or your own car. You can Aldo still see monkeys and not even go into the enclosure at all.

@@Wheelsnoheels Near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
Briton’s equivalent to glacier national Park in the states, and in the Northwest probably equivalent to Northwest truck. Pretty cool
The maze made me think of The Shining. 😁

Lisa TheCatDude me too, all that was missing was the snow.

This house is super old. I can't remember how old exactly, but king henry the 8Th ate there.
