I have watched the movie close to 200 times now and consider it to be the greatest horror movie of all time. Yet, this is the first time in my life I've heard or seen 'Windrix'. Therefore I HIGHLY doubt he was an active part of that movie.

Not sure, but I think it's to do with likeness rights - that's why we got a 'Kenner' inspired Apone.
