    this was an interesting mechanic, and i enjoyed a lot of it, but there's also some serious jank going on. the theo tether gameplay was pretty neat and worked better than i'd have expected, though.
    the force from the tether sometimes violated physical intuition in a way that made it behave unpredictably. the berry in the room at 2:30 is one of the more egregious examples - after getting the first pink refill, it seems like there's a sudden sharp change in the direction i'm pulled so that i'd be launched into the spikes below while still waiting to fall far enough to dash for the berry. when you break the tether, you're launched along a strange arc that doesn't really feel like celeste physics - it feels like you're moving along an arbitrary curve.
    i think that a faithful spring simulation would make for some pretty terribly gameplay, and agree that there should be some crunchy and consistent nonlinearity to the gameplay, but i think that it also needs to obey physical intuition for the behavior of a spring.
    it seems like you could just use the pink refill to dash twice and grab the berry at 9:48. i considered that early on and then assumed that you had to grab it and then carry it back to safe ground, and that you'd have to move the switch gate to get back.
