I disagree that it's only for formal occasions. It's a perfect scent for a dating, intimate times and DANCING. It's a seductive scent. For men AND women. I always say, Black Orchid EDP is what a vampire would wear when they go out to seduce their victims. I love it for men because only a secure man can wear this. No, not silly "alpha" men, but a man that's secure in who he is. It's such a statement when a man can embrace the femininity in the fragrance and apply it to himself. It's very daring and attention-grabbing and the scent-memory you leave with people (women in particular) is that at the very least you're, 'interesting'. I wear this almost exclusively on dates or to go dancing. When you're dancing with a woman (especially salsa), they are immediately intoxicated by the scent and look at me in a puzzled stare like "what kind of a man ARE you?" to be wearing such a fragrance. They feel compelled to get to know you better. It's one of my all-time favorites that I reach for when I'm in Vampire-mode.
I really have to just get a sample and try it out but feel it may be too feminine for me. I'm a salsa and Kizomba dancer so I find that intriguing that you can pull it off. I have to see what the fuss is about.

Its so interesting how our noses differ. This is my signature scent for cool weather and spring nights. I think it's very wearable, and I am not understanding why this would be challenging to wear, especially for your seasoned noses. BO is my all time favorite perfume, its such a unique masterpiece that simply works. Tom Ford line, designer and private, is said to be over hyped, and I agree. Too much of anything isnt a good thing.. but the hype isn't a mystery. He has many of the best and most influential fragrances released in the 21st century. Oud wood, noir de noir, tobacco vanille, tuscan leather, etc. Nice video thanks love to hear different opinions
It goes well on my skin. It's really a mysterious, dark and sexual fragrance. It's a perfect scent for the Canadian's fall and winter.
One of my all-time favorite fragrances. I feel kickass whenever I wear this. It is so beautiful and intriguing. I consider that this is so iconic. Oh, and it’s one of my only compliment getters, which surprised me.

I love the EDP . . . one of my all time favs!! It's very dark and mysterious on me, and certainly makes a statement! I wear it in the cooler/colder weather, and mostly to formal occasions. Although very striking, one needs to be conservative on the amount applied! In this case less is more !!
Best worn in more open settings . . . and not really good for close quarters.

I'm so glad you said that. People will hate the edp for being so strong but if you spray 2-3 sprays, you will be fine. A lot of people over spray fragrances because they want to smell it themselves instead of letting the scent do the work

I am 34 love going out I'm a ppl person and a girly girl at some point and I absolutely love love this perfume it fits just for me
Of all the perfumes/fragrances I've purchased for my wife (and I've purchased a lot), this is definitely one of my favorites. One spray is all she needs and she's good to go all day. Very sexy in a very classy way. I believe it's Tom Ford Private Blend quality without the astronomical price. Great review guys!

'Femme Fatale' scent gets it spot on. It's a seductive scent, strong, alluring and with a hint of danger that is redolent of Bogart/Bacall movies of the 1940's.
I own the edp, and wear it year round, tropical hot weather and with my skin chemistry gets me so many compliments I love it, and idk if i should try the edp?

I'm still on a journey of trying to find out what it is that is in this perfume that I am absolutely addicted to. I can't figure out if it's a single note or if it's the whole mix. But it drives me crazy. Its one that I have to smell literally everytime I walk by my dresser. I wish I new cause I would seek it out in other fragrances but i haven't smelt it anywhere else. And I have a shit ton of colognes
This is the first-time I've seen you do a collaboration with a female,,, I must say, what a great change of pace, and to get a female perspective is fantastic..... but as for the scent itself, I bought it for my wife, but it is entirely to feminine for me.......

Decided to put the EdP on my wrist and almost immediately regretted it. Then tried washing off the smell, couldn't get rid of the smell, and regretted it even more!
Whenever I wear it, I cant get it off for days at a time. I use VERY sparingly
Try it again. I hated it at first. Second their time around it became my all time favorite

I love and hate this! The floral notes are all the ones that make me sick, and the more oriental and musky ones are all the ones I love. Jekyll and Hyde. It’s what i would call an opera perfume! I’ll probably get a full size I live in a cooler climate full time again.

Not sure if this is one I'd like to smell on a chick, but I'll say this: Black Orchid is a BEAST!!!...one of my top three! And I wear it all seasons. BUT..keep this in mind fellas....its not for the beta boys (no disrespect)....if you like scents like Dylan Blue, Sauvage, La Nuit De L'homme, anything Prada...then take a pass on Black Orchid.....if you can rock CH Men Prive or Fahrenheit?? Then your "style" fits Black Orchid....its an Alpha, I'm DTF, man's scent. I wear Black Orchid to attract the women that "get it". Good luck!

I tried on myself. I can't decide whether it suits a man or a woman. It gave me the feeling of 'come closer, I want to know more.. and more.' As a woman I would rather get that from a man.

I find them both very similar. I personally think this is a very feminine scent, though some people disagree with me, and men wear this. The EDP is a VERY strong fragrance, so if that's something you are looking for, I would go with that.

Got a bottle for my wife. She likes it but wants me to wear it. Is it a woman's or mens fragrance? We have the edp. I know you guys mention unisex but what is Tom ford's intention?
brandon bentley from what I’ve heard it was intended to originally be released as a men’s fragrance, however it’s currently considered as a unisex scent. As a male you could definitely sport it. It’s a rich, slightly feminine leaning scent, but men can pull it off no problem. Give it a try, it may grow on you.
SunsetSheen I'll try it in public but gotta maintain my reputation at work. I'm known as always smelling amazing and it helps everyone remain calm and happy too. But anyway, I like the rich pachouli, truffle, orchid, smell but not sold on wearing it.
Definitely not a work scent my friend. A bit too daring for that. More for a nice date night, or even going out for a drink at a nicer bar or lounge.

They're both VERY different. It really depends on what you are looking for.
Fragrance Bros. Signature parfum. Everyday use.
EDT for men, EDP for women.

No edt doesn’t mean men it means a lower concentration .more concentration = more expensive Tiers go from cologne to edt to edp to Parfum
This is my favorite Tom ford scent edp, got to splash somebody's daughter or milf.

Am I the minority here? Black Orchid smells absolutely stinky and repulsive to my nose in the beginning for 6 hours or more, then it smells like a dirty kitchen with all spice jars broken on the floor for another 12 hours, the next day it smells like a pretty flower. I can not wait a day to get the pretty and nice smell because I need to spend a whole day passionately hating it...
I absolutely hate both the EDP and EDT. They have no redeeming qualities other than performance as far as i am concerned. Not my least favorite fragrances, but very close.
Keith Montgomery have to agree with you in this one,I don't see anything specially in it but to me(Noir de Noir and Noir extreme)are the one in this range.
