Super premium figure, the hidden buttons/articulation features is a nice touch, action packed engineering on top of how good he looks, really nice job. Transformation wasnt too stressful, but still i would be extra extra careful hes too nice to be reckless with the clickity clacks and flippity flaps haha. So much detail, like everywhere youd want paint or something it's there to break up the white, and homie in the cockpit 👍👍👍 and the cardboard prototype is awesome, I do recall a dude on YT that does cardboard transformers and stop motion, i think you showed them to me actually lol people do some very nice crafts with cereal boxes, cosplay masks and what not, i bet he used cereal cardboard 🤷 hope you enjoy your new gerwalker!!! 😄 Buncha jet dudes walkin around on your desk like flamingos in a shallow pond
I think this has, BY FAR, been your best URR to date! You've really stepped up your game with the reviews! Great job, man! I've never been into Macross, but I've always loved their Veritech fighters!
Fr, right? I feel the same way. Whenever I see someone's efforts being reciprocated with learning, growth, and success, I think to myself, "Ah, all is well in the Universe." :-)
You forgot that there is a joint at the top of the thigh that allows the leg to swing out sideways into a wider stance. Perfect transformations are nice, but I don't insist on them, especially with Macross Variable Fighters. Once you have the Super Parts included, that all detach seperately, then it hardly matters that there are also intake covers, fists etc that parts-form.
Thx thx. Tbh, not my best review, but I think I got my points across XD if not for the nosecone issue, this is one of the best Valkyries at this scale. And if we're just talking Veritechs, this is probably the best one on the market.
Great video mate! So you think this Threezero version wipes the floor over the Toynami versions and is slightly better than the Yamato V2/Arcadia versions. I know it's hard to compare because they are in a different scale but would you say the Bandai chogokin DX Vf-1s are still the best?
Thx bud. Yeah, Toynami isnt even allowed to compete. That'd just be unfair lol. There are a lot of great things about this valk, but some of the engineering mishaps still has me favor Arcadia... or at least call it a dead even. In terms of modern valks, I think Bandai does it best both in their 1/100 and 1/48 scale.
I have a great new combination I highly Recommend Orinj Legacy Lockdown and Legacy Shard make a excellent combo if you are looking for a new combo to try for a skit 👌
This is a very nice kit, but personally, I prefer to have 3 different non transformable kits from Hasegawa for display only, robot mode, gerwalk mode and fighter.
This is ThreeZero’s first transforming figure? Seems right to start with a classic. Seems really complex. Are the ones from the 80s like that? The Japanese ones or even Transformers one? The scales are bigger for the older toys; does that help? But overall, all the modes look great.
Yeah, it's their first. It's not too bad once you get a feel for it. There arent too many ways to transform a valkyries, so it's the intricacies that stand them apart - i.e. heat shield, hip bar, leg compression and expansion. Otherwise, it's similar to previous designs that we've seen.
Kawamori-san did intend the Gerwalk to be a thing, the chicken feet thing was the actual starting point. I just wish some of these would do the correct way the legs attach to the nose during transformation. BTW, he isn't a fan of Robotech.
Funny enuf, I met Kawamori-san at AE 2000 or something and the first thing I said to him through a translator, tongue in cheek, was "Thank you for making Robotech" XD
@@BotBenderOrinj haha, yea, you mentioned it in the vid, that's why i told you that he isn't a fan of it. Not only because of HG shennanigans, but also the dialogue is more primitive in Robotech than Macross
The good news is that those armatures are made of die cast metal. So while the toy does feel a bit floppy, it’s definitely not gonna suddenly break on you.

Thx bud. Definitely making an effort to improve my craft. I watched it again and see so much opportunity for improvement. I appreciate the sentiment!
@@BotBenderOrinj This is how we grow, and it's exciting to watch as it is to grow one's self! I love seeing people succeed!

Great review. Love this version. Will be grabbing the rest of these Macross when they come out.
Hey thx bud! Yeah, they have a Roy and Max (I think) coming out soon.
Nice job! Impressive transformation. Might have to get this one

Wow that quality looks top notch!
Was about to order a DX but now torn…. This is half the price as a DX for me here in Aus.

Appreciate the kind words Mac 🫡

Yo I LUVVV the Hasegawa stuff! Big fan of their work. Im just a horrible model builder XD

It's Sky fire/Jetfire 's dad! Very nice figure!
Fr tho! Considering BW and HG are playing nice now, I wonder if there's ever a chance we see the Valkyrie mold used for Jetfire...

Jetfire skyfire
Yup!
IS THAT SKYFIRE 🤓 /s
Ikr? XD
I think it’s pretty terrible how there are thin armatures for each of the transformation parts. It looks like a floppy, fragile mess in your hands.
