  • Brandy the MGB GT has been sat in her garage untouched for about 12 months. Leane hasn't been able to drive her so far this season whilst being pregnant but we can't resist bringing her out for the Jubilee bank holiday weekend! Let's see if she'll start up and come out of hibernation!

    Kudos to Leanne; those were some truly spectacular pregnancy gymnastics 😂😂😂.
    Hope you are doing well.
    What a much loved car that MGB is.
    She's properly been driven and stored .
    I can't wait to see you two getting on with her.

    Lovely BGT! I really like the wheels. I have a Midget out in my garage that could use a wash as well. By the way, I fabricated a wood overlay for my dash too. Sure beats the black plastic we got here in the USA.

    Should have taken the plugs out and put a few drops of oil into each pot and replaced the plugs before starting. Saves a potentially broken piston ring. Also, I would personally have pulled the choke out before turning it over. Well started, though, and well done!!

      @@WhitelandRestorations So glad that you've decided not to use wire wheels. They're a lot of extra work to keep clean, not as strong, and they don't look right on a BGT.

    @RWBHere 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for this one. 🙂👍 I've always liked the looks of the MGB GT, so it's a real treat to see one looking good and still working well. Am I correct in saying that she'll be 50 years old next year? If so, then it will be a perfect opportunity to give her some beauty treatment!

    • @WhitelandRestorations
      @WhitelandRestorations  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are correct! She'll be 50 on the 18th June next year....not that I'm counting the days lol. We'd love to have her in for a full teardown and resto for her birthday but there are a lot of cars in the queue. She will be getting done at some point in the future though thats for sure. She deserves the best. 45k miles from new on the clock and even through she's nearly 50 she still loves to go out for a good blast in the country lanes 😁
