- I tried out the Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro and used it to cut a new Raspberry Pi case from 3mm plywood. The Laser Master 2 Pro is their latest upgrade to their popular Laser Master 2 and is available for purchase from the web store, Made The Best, for around $460 at the time of this review.

Its the Cooler master Q300l
1) Balance the fan blades and the noise level will drop. Just hold them in your hand to assess the vibration level and stick on the pieces of tape. Then drill a hole on the opposite side.
2) You can cut plywood more efficiently if you bring a flow of air through the needle from the syringe to the cutting zone from the compressor.
It's adorable. If you moved one of the intake fans to the back for exhaust. It should be quieter.
Outrageously great!!! Well done!!!
I wish the product was a bit less expensive and less delayed for delivery

Nice job. You have me thinking about purchasing the Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro. That is a cool tip on the engraving spray. Will done.
That's great, definitely have a look at them. I've used my lasers far more than I ever thought I would.
Very.. very cute!
I love that build case for rpi4 i do want one them
If this is not a demonstration of the beautiful thing that is an energy conserving engineers hands at work, what is?

I recently bought this case, can’t wait to get it
Would this work with an M2 Hat? Ideally at the bottom.
Also having one front and one rear fan would be an instant buy for me
You wouldn't be able to use a bottom mounted hat as the port positions are fixed but you could use a top mounted one or a bottom one and just mount it over to the side or on top.
Looks dope!
I have no comment.... just.... Soo cooooool !!!
Love the video keep up the good work the case looks so good I did get confused when you said you cut the acrylic with your CO2 because a diode laser couldn't cut acrylic I cut acrylic all the time on my 20 watt diode
You can cut black or dark coloured opaque acrylics with a diode laser - I'm not aware of any diode lasers that can cut clear acrylic.
@@MichaelKlements the only type of acrylic I cut is the clear acrylic 2 mm thick I just leave on the brown paper part the protective layer cut it out and then remove that protective layer from there and I've never had an issue
I am really excited to watch all your videos. Your channel is one what i've been looking for lot's of years!
Thanks so much for the support!
Michael tell me the brass standoff size for putting into six holes
I use M2.5 x 6mm standoffs- the ones that come with the Ice Tower cooler
I would to own a laser set up!
Beautiful. I bought your single fan case one model from etsy and made that version for my pi 4. I might give this one a go too. Can you please let me know if running more than a fan will create any problem to my pi or not? Or is there a way I can control the fans, like I might want to run one always and other I want to keep turned off until it goes to a certain temperature?
You can run multiple fans on a Pi without any issues, I've also recently put together a PWM control script to control the fan's speed depending on the CPU temperature - th-cam.com/video/N5h6Y7KGLDc/w-d-xo.html
Awesome 👍
Once again Michael, nice work. I built your 3d printed Ice Tower ras pi case with OLED and it's my favorite project too date. I've got a ras pi 8gb w a 240GB ssd for storage and I printed the model with the OLED on the front. Not only is it a great desktop workstation (running Ras Pi OS 64GB) but it looks awesome as well and it's my best 3d print too date. Anyhow, great designs. Looking foward too what's next.
That's great Jack, and thanks for the awesome feedback!

Hey Michael, this build is fantastic and I currently have parts on the way to do my own. I'm planning on wiring in a switch on the front top (slanted area) so I can turn the fans on and off depending on if I am using it heavily or just having it sit there running torrents etc.
Can I ask how you've found the cooling/temps with the SSD so far? I've heard NVMEs can run hot and noticed you don't have the heat sink on that comes with the enclosure in the link. I'm hoping to install mine with heat sink attached.
I've also got a slightly different extension board on the way which routes the power to the back panel too :)
Cheers!
Hi Mitch, that's great! That's a good idea, they're probably not necessary most of the time. I haven't tested this, but it might be an idea to put some sort of potentiometer arrangement or voltage adjustment onto the fans. That way they'll be much quieter at low voltage and you could ramp them up when needed.
I haven't noticed much heat coming off mine, but I'm also not actively transferring large files to and from the drive regularly. I guess it depends on your use case. Adding some heat sinks to it can't hurt, so if you've got them then definitely try them out.

i like it but id like to see a 3.5 screen added to the side of the case
Ew
The side panel could use some vent holes. I'm sure it would help with cooling.

Thats what the two smaller fans are for. They pull the air into the case, not push it out
Best one I’ve seen so far. You wanna sell it?
Good DYI

Noctua has some 5V 3pin 40mm fans you should try those xD
I've just ordered some!
@@MichaelKlements I've actually just been thinking, both types of the ICE tower don't contact the ram or usb or ethernet controllers, and don't appear to leave much room for attaching small adhesive heatsinks to those components. Do you worry about any of those things getting too warm?
Wow !! ❤
Like it.
i bought one of your original cases and about 3 seconds into this video i could tell i was about to buy another one of your cases, if it too is for sale.
for the original case, i used an adafruit 240x240 oled on the front and wrote a small state machine that comes alive on power up, monitors vitals as well as displays other alternate frames, like images, animations, text and even a matrix style screen saver lol
That sounds awesome!

Can you make one out of Bamboo?
I'll have a look into it, I've never seen bamboo sheets less than 10mm or so locally.
Don't replace the glasses. The "Blue" laser actually is a byproduct, and you have huge amounts of IR laser coming out of it. See non-linear optics, and how the frequency upconverter crystals work. The glasses complement the "Blue" protection with IR protection.
Thanks for the additional information on the glasses!
Dope!

I have a project idea mini that is filling machine like a petrol pump,
working -> filling in litters and fill with $doller mount.
Thanks Mubashar, I'll have a look at a filling machine project.

Hey Michael did you make a bot that replies to our comment. Many of us received replies.
No it’s a spam bot. It’s becoming a pretty common problem on TH-cam. They create an account with the same channel name and picture and try bait people into contacting them. Unfortunately TH-cam doesn’t seem to have a solution to stop this at the moment.
@@MichaelKlements ooo. I was thinking what happened to Michael such an odd replies 😅😅
Haha, I'm not in the habit of sharing my contact number with everyone.
@@MichaelKlements 😂😂
you should use aaeon pico itx core-i7 sbc that is hundered times faster than respberry pi
Yea because paying 800 dollars for the i5 version is worth it.....hell no, I'll stick with my 80 dollar Raspberry Pi4.
It looks pretty cool, but it is also substantially more expensive than a Raspberry Pi

Sounds too noisy. I would love a 12 cm fan only case….
It really is a beauty but too loud I guess
It looks like a tiny gaming PC
Small version of the big one, screams for attention!
Not bad but it might go up in smoke 💨
I will put my hand beneath the lesar to shape it correctly 😒😒
