      100%. Could you imagine if they removed auto cue today? Though even with it 'some' music still sounds terrible. 🤔 😄🤦🏽‍♀️

      100% RFecOC - the World is a beautiful place - it's the people who have lost it - the 60s-70s-80's-90s were great, and it's all going down hill to a point of no return, but I'm trying to do my bit to slow it down and show positivity. Thanks for showing up - much appreciated. Have a wonderful festive time with your family and friend 🙏🏽🕊

    An early '90s Hit. Breakthrough Song for the Band. If I remember right a Summer Song. They became so famous that they were invited '92 to sing a Queen Medley at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert.

    Still sounds pretty good today. A little while back, Nuno Bettencourt (the guitar player) performed this with Steven Tyler of Aerosmith at a Nobel Peace Prize concert. It sounds pretty good with Steven singing it as well.

    Great message in the lyrics. Words are just words sometimes if they don't have meaning behind them. Some say I love you but do they mean it. Actions speak louder than words.

    This song means a lot to me, I learned it to play for my wife on our 45th wedding anniversary - I didn’t do a bad job of it at all on guitar but my singing was a bit any old note will do 😂
    Your reaction just confirms to me that it’s timeless and will always mean the same thing to anyone listening to it. The harmonies and simplicity of it plus the words used make it what it is BEAUTIFUL!
    I’ve noticed you’ve already reacted to a lot of Nightwish (which I would have suggested if you hadn’t) and a very nice collection of oldies, I’m going to suggest another band that I like (something that you wouldn’t expect from a 71 year old 😂); it’s a Ukrainian band called Jinjer, they have a singer Tatiana who is of the same calibre as Floor, but also an amazing lyricist. The usual route to introducing them is a song Pieces live (in studio) but I would suggest a live performance of Perennial at Wacken, it’s the final song of their set; the rest of the set is also amazing! I really hope that at some time in the future you would consider it. 💖💕💖

    Interpret the lyrics as they were intended:- It's a slowww version of a heavy hitter. Saying that you love me is not enough......SHOW ME..... coz once you use your mouth on a certain part of my body - then I will not need (and neither will you be able to say) that you love me.
    And people went so crazy for this?? Weird. Nowadays they would've gone the way of Robin Thicke. But, the large majority are like Robin's surname.

      What an absolute load of shit. I'm guessing that you made all of that up in your tiny brain. It has NOTHING to do with sex at all. It's simply saying that the phrase ' I love you' is overused and as such becomes meaningless. You're a complete moron with some issues.

    Biggest hit yet it alienated their fan base. The sing was for the gf of Gary. He wrote it for her to show he heard her and got it. Unfortunately this song is what the band and fans attribute to it's failure. By time the album came out Gary's gf had left him.

    The song comes from the Pornograffitti album.

  • @rogermasa
    @rogermasa ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The band wanted to set themselves apart from other “hair bands” at that time by playing a diverse range of styles from The Righteous Brothers to the funk of Earth Wind and Fire and the lounge of Sinatra with the rock of Queen and meld it together for the album Pornograffitti. When they released MTW, it became a huge hit and fans of the song ran out and bought the album thinking all the songs were like that one. To their shock, they found the most creative and cohesive albums of 1991 that was also widely misunderstood. On the outside, their image and albums appears sleazy, especially with the titles “He-Man Woman Hater” and “Get The Funk Out”. To that part, album sales dipped quickly and the record company had a hard time marketing them because they weren’t metal enough and likewise too wide a range of styles. They actually never intended on the song becoming a massive hit and were shocked it was getting as much radio play as it was.

      Thank you. I forgot to mention that that album’s theme was, “is it possible to find love in a world that is inundated with illicit sex, pornography and images perpetuated in media?” That is what lead singer Gary Cherone stated in an interview. Keep up with these great reaction vids!
