What Type of Anesthesia is Used During a Rhinoplasty
Dr Bill Portuese here rhinoplasty specialist in Seattle. We get lots of patients that ask us about what type of anesthesia am I going to have when I'm undergoing a rhinoplasty. Typically when we do a full rhinoplasty procedure we do those under general anesthesia by a board-certified physician anesthesiologist who are monitoring the patients the whole time while they're under the anesthetic. The other option is to do local anesthesia if we're doing a very small procedure like a little tiny touch up or an Alar plasti just to narrow wide nostrils.
