David is spot on! This is the sound world of Belshazzar. The orchestration, rhythms, use of the voices, candences and entries, and structure are very similar. I like this a lot, but maybe the structure is a bit too long and rambling given the text, or maybe I need to listen to it a few more times. There is lots of great Walton out there.
@@petersturmey2789 How kind of you to reply Peter, and thank you. I usually receive what boarders on the abusive from people when I make comments on You Tube, so this is very refreshing. Thank you again. David A.
@@DavidA-ps1qr -- "Borders on the Abusive"?? What are you talking about, you lazy mealymouthed slacking miscreant? Oh, "persistent vegetative state," are you? Is THIS "refreshing" enough? Cheers from Acapulco!
Always Great.....ALWAYS Walton.....BRAVO from Acapulco!
Superbe ce William Walton !!
Lot's of Belshazzar in here. But still another fine work from a basically self taught composer. We should all be so proud of this man. He was unique.
