- This video explains the inductive soft annealing of hardened spindle ends. This is necessary in order to be able to carry out the subsequent end machining of ball screws in the soft state. Soft annealing with an inductor at 700-750 °C (cherry red) is shown. If no inductor is available, a gas flame can also be used for soft annealing of ball screws.
