I won't share the exact numbers but I made $0 for like the first 10yr I was involved in music, I was working a fulltime job and relied heavily on that for paying my bills. Around 2019 I quit that job and went all in on music full time. I would guess the first year I made 30-40k and as I started doing more and more things it kept going up. Last year I was able to do 6 figures because I signed my pub deal, but for comparison this year I've made almost nothing off of music... The reason I wanted to share all of that is because some years can be great, some years can be horrible. That's why I was saying becoming an entreproducer (selling loops, beats, plugins etc) is a great way to have a more reliable income source then placements.
