i have many, many ornaments that were my grandmothers and mothers so i love using them and thinking of them and my memories of them decorating with these ornaments. i love your ideas and might use them on packages that those people can hang on their tree
Hola amiga , In Mexico we make fake moss with (aserrin) sawdust which Im sure you have plenty from working on your woodshop. Mix sawdust with water and add green or grey acrylic paint play it by ear on the amounts, mine change every time.lol
*What an ORIGINAL IDEA you had for making CANDY CANES out of IOD TRIM MOLDS - PURE GENIUS, JULIE❣️😱🙉🌲🤎🎍 The sky is the limit because you can use so many different paint colors, wax and glaze combinations‼️🤣🤯👏👏👏 BRAVO, Miss Inspire Creativity Julie❣️❣️❣️😁🌲🎍*
I tend to do different things with trees having many trees in different rooms maybe an oriental design in one hot air balloon tree and another a red bird tree Loved your resin canes, especially the one that had the teeny gold balls. Many many creative ideas. Thank you for the video Happy holiday! SHOPPING think gift certificates 😻🌲
My trees have changed from traditional read and green to a solid white tree with small American flags. Back to green tree with red apples with farm house rustic ornaments. To green tree with crochet ornaments. Back to traditional. I haven’t had a tree in six years. Death of family has affected me. I just don’t have the willpower to decorate. Depression and loneliness is a BEAST.
Hey Julie! I absolutely love the candy canes!! I like you, love the floral ones! They are so pretty and unique. Can you believe I’m still deciding what colors to decorate with this year??!! In recent years I’ve gone more traditional with the green and red with gold and silver. But I want to redo (paint) my ornaments this year with a like standout color. Or I may go with just green and white. I’d add in some silver and gold. Oh!, I made a Christmas tree like yours except I used green glass. You know the kind you put in vases for filler or in an aquarium? I love it too. It’s in a pretty wood frame as well. I enjoyed the video. See ya! ❤️💜💚
Hi Julie, loved the unique candy canes for sure, I really liked the moss tree, maybe would added a bit of color to the ball ornaments, and yes that frame is great. Messy moss for sure. Thank you
Thank you for watching. All the products as well a beautiful home decor items can be found on my website www.juliesdesignsandsigns.com/ SIGN UP FOR MY EMAIL LIST- www.juliesdesignsandsigns.com/email-list
I loved both. I'm hoping to get some IOD goodies for Christmas until then I will definitely be making some moss trees. Moss is messy. I always use a dollar tree dish pan, bowl or tray under what ever I'm working on. The only issue I have with it anymore is the small stray pieces that stick to my clothing. I think glitter is worse than moss. Even if you think you did well when using glitter you will still find it everywhere in my experience. The bits of it are so small and just seem to multiply like wet little gremlins.
Love the candy canes, I recently purchased that mold so that'll be my next project! Also love the moss tree, it looks beautiful in that rustic frame! Thanks for the great ideas.
Enjoyed watching your struggle with the messy moss. Used your gather my own off the trees until I got about a hundred red bugs (what we call them in South Alabama) on me. Someone said put the moss in a microwave to kill the bugs but I just buy it now. The candy canes are adorable!
Oh Julie…. I love those Candy Canes ❤️❤️❤️❤️. I totally agree, don’t forget to look at the BACK of old frames …. Gorgeous!!!! Let me see….”glitter” VS “ moss”…. I would have to write the words down and draw with my eyes shut…BOTH are a mess …🤣🤣🤣🤣 BUT I love the look of moss more than glitter 😁 Happy thanksgiving and let’s get started on Christmas ! Mine has been up for 3 weeks already! I broke my right arm falling down 13 stairs so I needed something to think about while laid up… so I discovered decorating one handed I could conquer…..🤷♀️….. somewhat 🥴

Oh my goodness! I LOVE both of these. Now I have to find that frame or something close so I can make the tree for gifts. Going to make several candy canes too. Thank you!
Your inspirations are so on point…I love “old world “ with a modern touch….brings back comfort memories….those of us born in a certain time period, probably can relate to this.
I loved the framed Christmas tree but those candy canes were absolutely fantastic. I have 2 or 3 of the trimmings molds. Now I know what I'll be doing this weekend for fun!
I love everything that you made, soooooo stinkin cute! I have everything in my craft stash, so I know what I’ll do, this weekend…. Thank you for the great ideas!!!
I thought the Christmas tree was my favourite until I saw the candy canes displayed in the jugs at the end - they completely stole my heart and I'm inspired to do this in my glass cabinet. Thank you for the inspiration ❤ Kim, Chichester, UK
I love the framed moss Christmas tree you did. It turned out great! My home style has definitely changed from very traditional, and more high end, to farmhouse/ cottage. I use much more color than straight farmhouse design does, but I find I like older, very rustic, chippy, imperfect pieces now to create a nice relaxed atmosphere.
Thanks for sharing, love the ideas! On your site you are out of a lot of the moulds. Is there a probability of them coming back in? Also, I was looking for some IOD transfers that are not in your store, can you order them? Again, enjoying this video and thank you for your help? Blessings to you and yours!😊❤
I love the little natural tree with the moss and air dried clay balls
