Good story
The start of the story said that as soon as the husband & mother-in-law left, the father-in-law jumped up & said let's get started, but then when the story began, that never happened
I was expecting a little more resolution. How did the two manage the house when she left? Was the father still okay? Who was taking care of him? MIL was also guilty of the embezzlement, at least so far as the family should be concerned.

I also was waiting for fil to jump up and “get started”.
These stories seem to be read by a robot who doesn’t put the emotional element into the story. There are also many words being mispronounced. I would politely suggest that a trained narrator do the reading to make these stories come to life better.
If I walked in late from work and 2 healthy adults were asking me to cook, I would ask them when did I become their maid and housekeeper? What’s wrong with their lazy assess. Did they have a fall too?

It's amazing how people allow themselves to be treated this way and then get upset at the other person. She should have put her foot down right at the beginning and said. If you're going to hawaii i'm going with you your mom's responsibility is her husband. Then she should have made up a chore list and handed it to the other 2 people at the table and said. This is what you need to do to help out. I will not be doing it all by myself and lady he's your husband you are now fully responsible for his care. I will support you but I will no longer be doing it.

Why would she possibly allow her husband and mil keep acting that way actually getting worse and just keep backing down every time talked to that way. Even sitting there with empty dishes as she’s running late. Find it hard to believe anyone with any kind of self respect just sit there and take it

I didn’t enjoy this storyline at all… the title was like being baited into reading a story; thinking 🤔 that maybe the end result would be the main character finding an escape through support from the FIL….instead she was continuously walked over and abused! It was extremely frustrating… 😤😤😤
