Damn! You can really sing! Very few can illustrate how Angelina sings with their voice and sound good. You have natural talent or training or both. And your insights are among the best. No wonder your channel is growing.
AJ plays 4 instruments and speaks 5 languages and sings in at least 4 languages, she also writes and arranges her songs, she sews some of her outfits like those she wore at AGT, she also wrote a book at age 8 and is the youngest published author in Norway, and she has raised millions for humanitarian charity's all over the world.... Can she get any better??? I'm sure she is not done surprising us!!!

Unique unto herself. No comparisons possible. Sure, she sings the same words but when she does, they no longer are the same words they become feelings and emotions. Scary young lady whose voice goes right past our ears and directly into our souls. . Your WOW's are probably all anyone can say since there really aren't any words to describe Angelina.❤❤
I can see why Angelina chose to cover this so quickly after Adeles release. Why the lyrics may have been so meaningful to her. In the song she wrote at 12 SHIELD she asks for forgiveness for " What I am" this too asks for that... I WAS JUST A CHILD....I had no time to choose what I chose to do....Her family has had to change their lives for Angelinas career. Moving to the USA from Norway. Careers and lives were disrupted. Her sister left friends. She is obviously very grateful and aware of this. I always imagined she imagined singing this to her younger sister.
Apart from early vocal lessons on how to protect her voice and techniques for breath control most of her musical training was on instruments. We have seen her performing on the piano guitar but she also had early lessons on flute and violin. I think this emphasis on instrumental education is why her runs are almost instrumental and so clean.

Angelina published her first cover of this song on tiktok just a few hours after Adele released this song. It was almost as good as this version, so some believed she had heard the song before it was released. I believe it is her musical genius.
Another voice coach reactor said, as great as Adele is her voice has natural limitations, Angelina has none. This is why we hear such texture in her performances. She can sing in those subtle sounds and effects as her heart desires at the very moment they come out of her mouth. That's why she makes covers of songs sound like they were written for her by her. Angelina's musical intellect and skill is second to none. MAN, I CANT WAIT FOR HER ALBUM RELEASE!!!

Everything that makes Angelina different from Adele is very subtle. All the little touches and different textures. While almost all other female singers are trying to out-belt each other Angelina has been working on the fine details.

@@dsgp7835 It wouldn't upset me to see Angelina dance a little. She doesn't need it on stage but perhaps in music videos, perhaps to the extent that Aurora does. I would be horrified and severely disappointed to see her performing in her underwear like so many girls but I don't expect that will ever happen. Ever since she was a small child her wardrobe has been carefully selected and tasteful. I think Angelina balances being a classic singer and a 21st-century teenager incredibly well.

Yes Angelina has much respect for Adele - this was recorded a few days after the song was released. I think that Angelina could relate, in her own way, to the story. Angelina made some big choices by the age of 6 - she pestered her uncle mike about moving to the USA, probably by the age of 11 or possibly earlier, the family moved to LA in March/April 2018 for her to break into the US music industry. It didn't quite go to plan - the momentum created by the AGT champions was lost during the pandemic. So, her request is that we - go easy on her - she was just a child back then...
Adele is a great singer songwriter and has a powerful voice, but I find her voice is harsh and cold, whereas Angelina is warm and full of emotional content. Great reaction by the way loved it x

I have seen Angelina actively play piano/keyboard and guitar in casual videos (and Suspicious Minds), but I have not seen any others, like flute & violin. Seems that she studied those in school.
Douglas I agree with you about her playing piano and guitar never saw her playing violin or flute. Furthermore she is fluent in Norwegian, English and Swedish but I don’t think she is fluent in Japonese and Farzi.

@@rogercarriere4756 as much as she has traveled, it seems likely to me that she is probably conversant enough to probably get by if for example, she got separated by herself in the middle east. With one grandparent being Persian and the other having been Japanese, and with her having been to both countries, I can't imagine that she is not at least able to say " where is the bathroom " or please call me a taxi". I have seen a video of her singing in Japanese, in order to do that in such a way that native speakers could understand her, she would have to have at least a limited understanding of the language. Rather like people here in the southwest US who interact with those who speak Spanish. I can't carry on a conversation but I could make known to those Spanish speaking patients at my work at least simple, basic ideas.

She speaks ... Norwegian, Swedish, Persian, English and Japanese, the little girl she gave her shoes to when she was 6yo the conversation they had was entirely in Persian. AJ is very clever, shes graduating from her LA high school a year early at 17yo. then we get to hear her new Album... I cant wait!!!

@@mortenberg6189, what they call flute I’m pretty sure was a recorder (read that somewhere a few years ago) along with the violin were studied when she was still a child and set aside when she got older, she does play piano and is consistently improving her guitar skills.😮

(Pretty sure that you're the 1st music reactor that has explained the difference between waves & squiggly lines. And it made sense!) IMHO what differentiates Angelina from Adele is her GOD given ability to emote the essence of each song she sings direct to our hearts & souls allowing us to also deeply FEEL her music. I am not a great fan of direct comparisons but when the voices are put side-by-side, as has been done and the videos are available, Adele's voice sounds rather thin and tinny next to Angelina's... (Angelina often drops consonants which would otherwise interview with the vocal flow.. )

I have seen Angelina play piano and guitar with her being more proficient at the piano. It is said she can also play the flute and the violin but I haven't seen it. The flute may have been part of school music.
Did you know she also makes her own clothes. The suit she wore at AGT with Bohemian Rhapsody, she had made herself with a print from her grandmother's art.
Yes I agree Angelina sings it quite a bit different from Adele. Though some people feel it is very similar. Perhaps their memory of Adele's version is not fresh enough :-) I prefer it to Adele's version as well. I still love Adele's version though.

Adele has a very warm voice and writes incredible songs of lost love. Angelina has many voices and writes songs of lost loved ones, songs of gratitude and songs of hope and positivity. Both of these artists are top of their class.
You make an important distinction. Adeke usually focuses on losing something. Angeline has said in several interviews that she wants to project love and positivity. WHAT IS LIFE, 7TH HEAVEN, DIAMOND are very motivational.

I actually hear bits of Adele in Angelina's pronunciation of certain words. For example, like "chance" is pronounced by both, sounding more like "chain-ce". Same little bits and nuances are heard when she sings songs popularized by Elvis, Billy Holiday, Etta James, really all of the artists she studied. It's just enough to be recognizable and pay homage to the original performers but not interfering with her own stylizations, and IMHO definitely not trying to completely imitate or mimic them. Also, the subtle Angelina vibrato she puts on the end of the first "... feel" (didn't give me a chaince to feel...) is astonishing and shivering at the same time.
It IS better than Adele's version. Adele's version is margarine; Angelina's is pure butter.

For those of you that have not seen any of Angelina's art, she is very good. Her grandmother is a famous Iranian artist and has taught her. Angelina's work is very similar to her grandmother's work. Angelina's work is a little more abstract.

Also she speaks, reads and writes in 4 languages, Norwegian, Farsi, Swedish, English and is familiar with Japanese. She is taking German in school and living in L.A. is also learning Spanish. The girl Paints and with help from her Grandmother sews and designs her own clothes. She hangs around Heidi Klum a lot and now she is being taught Modeling by her. She is 15 here. Did you know she can speak four languages? Japanese…as her mothers father was Japanese (the grandfather that she wrote Million Miles about)…then her native Norwegian…. then Farci as her grandmother (Mery) is Iranian….. then of course English.
And as her father is Swedish, add in that as well. Perhaps French and German are part of the Norwegian curriculum as well. Now that she lives in LA, I think she picked up Spanish as well, she at least sang a Spanish song :-)

I have no issue saying Angelina is a superior vocalist. She just is. That's not an insult to Adele. She is amazing, as evidenced by her success. Some comparisons are subjective and what is preferred. But some is what an artist is capable of. (Some artists have an ability and WAY over use it.) Angelina can do things other artist simply can't and she knows just the right time and amount.

Hi Britt. I am sort of scared about Angelinas power. She sings all kind of music and make me like it, she even made me like jazz. Luckely so far she has not done classical/opera, I am afreid that if she does I will like that to ( getting waves of cold in my body just thinking about it ). In many ways Angelina is like another singer, Sissel Kyrkjebø ( you have to a scandinav to be able to say her last name ). Sissel is one of the worlds best ( if not the best ) crossover female sopranos. She sings everything from bluegrass to Opera but I skip over her opera songs. Will I be able to skip over Opera if Angelina sing ?

These lyrics are perfect for AJ -- like Adele, she had to make choices as a child that resonate with her now. AJ recorded this cover just days after Adele's release of the song.
Video expert analyzer Andreas Grussl has a comparison video of them that
is titled 'Is This Better Than Adele?' He breaks down every section of the song
and also believes Angelina's rendition is superior in many of the ways you have
mentioned. What shocked me the most was when he shows how Angelina
actually 'out belts' Adele in the power section of the song. I mean, the girl has
not even fully expanded her lungs at this age, and probably won't for 5 - 8 years
from now. When it comes to heartfelt ballads, Angelina's ability to not only emulate
Adele's vocals whenever she desires, but her natural jazz ability that comes from
Billie Holiday ('breathy', whisper-like) and Amy Winehouse ('slurring' and radical mid-
sentence 'key'changes) within specific line sections in a song, is something a non
jazz singer like Adele just can't match. Here. it sounds as if 4 superstar singers are
integrated into the song and I have never heard another singer do something that
intricately complex in a song.

Firstly, we need to say thank you to Adele for writing such amazing songs. Secondly, we need to appreciate vocalists like Adele along with everyone else who has to rely on life experiences and to show they are feeling emotional in order to convey emotions in their singing. I like to think Angelina draws upon the universe and connections to those in heaven to convey emotion. She is unique and in a different league.

Yes, I think it’s easy to judge Angelina’s version as better than the original. Adele and Angelina are both great singers, but Angelina has more vocal tools and she has absolute, complete control of them. Give Adele huge credit for her consistently great songwriting, but her melancholy themes are right in Angelina’s sweet spot. She knocks all her Adele covers out of the park-because she is simply the best popular singer I’ve ever heard.
She apparently does her own versions by herself, all of it. Has always done. So much talent.

Angelina sings this with so much more vulnerability than Adele. Adele's version is lovely but it doesn't sound nearly as heartfelt and sincere as Angelina's version does. When you first hear Adele's version before you hear Angelina's version, you think Adele's version has the vulnerability but then when you hear Angelina sing it, you know that there's no comparison. I kind of feel sorry for Adele whenever Angelina gets ahold of one of her songs because she will always make it better. Now go listen to All I Ask. Even better than Bruno Mars, and he sings it better than Adele.

You should like it better. LOL she makes everything better. plus she's just a better vocalist than adele. And adele is a great singer, so what's that tell you about Angelina. She's really just a musical genius. If I was a singer and about to release a song I would send it to Angelina Jordan to proof read and make any changes she wants then release it. I just feel so blessed to hear her sing. ♥️

The pianist is Grammy award winning musical director of Republic Records, Rob Christy. He has been playing for Angelina since she signed with them. They have pulled out all the stops for her first album. Get ready to be amazed when this album is released. I can't wait.

I thank Adele for the wonderful songs she wrote, I know them all, then Angelina arrives and makes them sublime!! Talent of a magnitude that is beyond the understanding of my 50 years of listening to music, especially blues and jazz, performs covers with an incomparable respect for the author by making personal variations that are pure gold for the listener's ears, heart and soul. Vocal gymnastics here are stunning. To continue along this vein, check out her 2022 video of My Funny Valentine done in an LA antique shop. Not my favorite song but one of my favorite performances by any singer, her fluidity in singing the song is astounding.
I've said it before. When Adele releases a song it's as if Angelina says "look what Adele wrote for me to sing."

I appreciate that you do an Angelina Jordan reaction every day. As I have said before I also think you should continue with Aurora reactions, especially her dance video "Queendom" (official video) and "Murder song (5,4,3,2,1) from the Nobel Prize concert. In addition I also would like to plug two young female artists, Grace Vanderwaal (American) and Courtney Hadwin (British). Both came to (American) fame 12-13 years old in America's Got Talent, Grace winning the whole competition! They are very different, Grace is a type of singer/songwriter in the style of Paul Simon or Lennon/McCartney while Courtney is more rockier in Janis Joplin style.
