How I rode Amtrak train for free from Martinez CA to Anaheim CA (San Joaquins train)

- In early February 2019, I rode the Amtrak San Joaquins train from Martinez, CA to Anaheim, CA. The entire trip took about 9.25 hours.
In the first part of this video, I explain the route, the ticket prices * and how I managed to ride the train for FREE.
The second part of this video are highlights (scenery) between Martinez and Anaheim. The San Joaquins train passes through large agricultural regions in Central California.
At 3:25, I start comparing the "value" tickets and the "flexible" tickets. I mentioned that the "value" tickets were not refundable; that is INCORRECT. The "value" tickets ARE refundable, but there are limitations. For details, see tickets.amtrak...

Depending on where you're staying in Anaheim, you have several choices to get there from the Anaheim Amtrak station: 1) use Lyft (not free), 2) get on the local "ART" bus (free with Amtrak ticket) or 3) get on the local "Orange County" bus (free with Amtrak ticket). Have fun in Disneyland!!
