Through my practice of the SGI, I have seen members turn their lives around. I have seen men and women who are lying on their deathbeds with cancer, change their lives and become the healthiest human beings ever. I have seen struggling youth who suffer from extreme problems with drugs, change their lives and become drug free after practicing this faith. I have seen hopeless middle-age men who gave up on life after losing six jobs and were about to commit suicide, but ultimately gained the courage and became successful businessmen through practicing with this organization. The fact is that the SGI really does save people’s lives. And in actuality is not an organization that will dilute people’s minds. I owe everything to this organization and I determine to help any struggling person come out of turmoil and see the bright horizon that awaits their life.

+Kendrick Rapper I practiced with the SGI for just over 20 years. I saw very few people accomplish anything out of the ordinary. Quite the contrary - SGI members seem to feel that they have to chant for hours and do lots of volunteering for the SGI in order to attain the results that people all around them are somehow managing to attain without needing any magic chant. In fact, I have seen very few people within the SGI accomplish their goals - all that sitting around chanting and cleaning toilets is simply wasting their time. If there was anything at all to your magic chant, the entire world would see it in the prosperity and advancement of all the SGI members around us. But we don't, do we? Oh, how embarrassing for SGI to have poured so much of the members' money and members' efforts into creating Ikeda as a world leader...and nobody's noticed...
Because Ikeda Sensei has done so much for the SGI. He inspires people all around the world and has devoted himself for the sake of peace. People carry his spirit and his heart wherever they go. He encourages people no matter who they are or what background they come from. I'm so thankful to President Ikeda for all the efforts he has made to change the world. He is a truly a noble man and he is a mentor for all us.

I love this song and this version. I have sung it MANY times at SGI meetings. Hearing it now made me sing aloud. I have always loved the slightly melancholy mood combined with the military marching sound. Okay, I probably sound crazy, but I LOVE THIS song, especially this version.
I sang this song on 5.3 day in 5 years ago with Kotekitai of Soka Gakkai Thailand and other 50 female youth sisters. I remember, we put all spirit to this song for our beloved sensei. And until now, whenever I hear this song, I can remember that moment and cry with joyful tear. I believe, with our lion heart and brave spirit, we will win forever!!

In order for any organization to be effective in its goals, the members must unite behind it's leader. Unity based on the teachings of Nichiren Diashonin is a must. Pres. Ikeda's gives his all with his guidance and encouragements to helps members apply NMRK to their lives .
Mentor (noun): an experienced and trusted counselor or adviser. Have you ever had a single conversation with your "sensei" Daisaku Ikeda? Does he know your name? Does he know your problems? Can he provide you with counseling or advice when you need it? If no, how can there be a true mentor-disciple relationship?

If there are leaders that you are not comfortable with, then ask for another leader. Also remember that WE ARE ALL STRUGGLING WITH OUR OWN WEAK NATURE and you may have some over zealous members who believe that they are doing the best they can to help the members. HAVE SOME COMPASSION. ....;-)

i agree, we talk about sensei alot, but thats only because of his masive contributions to society. But once he's dead (sorry for sounding morbid) these songs will slow down a bit, and we will continue more with kosen-rufu. Most songs and discussions we have are about kosen-rufu, and this is only one of the few sensei songs. For youth, however, we talk more about sensei because we see him as a role model, and want to spread this philosophy across the world like him. Hope this helped!
