Christmas in Leavenworth, Washington!

Hello Everyone. Leavenworth, Washington, otherwise known by many in the area as Washington State’s little Christmastown.
Several years ago, we were driving along Highway 2 in December in the late evening. It was dark. There was snow on the ground when suddenly, we came across what appeared to be several lit Christmas trees a hundred feet tall. We stopped,.turned into the intersection, and discovered a brightly lit town in the middle of nowhere. It was the town of Leavenworth.
Ever since then, we’ve returned every year to enjoy the beautiful Christmas scenery. During the Christmas season, over 200,000 people come to Leavenworth. Christmas celebrations here usually start after Thanksgiving, and the visitors who come get to enjoy a town that’s filled with Christmas carolers and over half a million Christmas lights.
And get this…you might even get to see Buddy the Elf walking down the street.

Kris Kringl was started in Leavenworth in 1986 and has been operating ever since. Its a store where Christmas truly is going on all year long. You know those little model buidlings that decorate Christmas? There’s an entire section dedicated to that.. There’s also tons of Christmas home decor.
But we love coming here for the very unique Christmas ornaments. We always like to find our one annual family Christmas ornament here, and they will personalize it for free.
When you enter the nutcracker museum, taking videos is specifically prohibited. But you are allowed to take still pictures of about 90% of the nutcrackers. There are literally thousands of nutcrackers of every shape, size, color, origin, country, occupation, and even political persuasion.
Who doesn’t love the smell of beef jerky? Here at Cured, there’s a wide variety of meats, including sausages and jerky.
