Yes Jennifer is correct, laser printing is required for foiling. I print my labels and foil my labels in different colors and I absolutely LOVE them. Love your channel!!!
Yes, ma'am! I am a candlemaker who hopes to launch in time for the fall and holiday season. Foiling is something I wanted to try for my luxury candles. Your demonstration gives me the confidence to tackle this. Thank you so much!
You have to print labels with a laser printer because the foil sticks to the toner. It won't foil on inkjet printed labels. That may be what Avery used to print your labels
Will you do a review of your cricut? I've thought about getting one on and off but I don't have a clear understanding how the time it takes to learn how to use it and just how much cost savings it could result in. Would love to hear your thoughts on it!
Oh girl, that's a tall order! I feel like a drunk girl wearing heels after a long night when using the Cricut right now! I still have some figuring out to do, but hope to be able to make this happen for you soon!
Would it be easier to place one whole sheet of the foil over a whole sheet of labels? There may be a little waste, but is that do-able? Otherwise, I see a real screw up in my future if I attempt this, lol! That turned out SO WELL! Thank you for this video, Ladybug! Much love to you!
I have a few videos on my channel that talk about my printers that I use and I'm sorry I not well versed in the printer market to be able to weigh in on the one you mentioned! Good luck!
Hi there, I have a problem when I try to foil the labels as the entire gold foil remains on it and does not stick only on the writing as in your video. Any idea why? I have done literally the same as you did step by step and have used a laser printer. It is very frustrating...
So Ashley, when you print the toner labels what setting do you use labels, thick paper?, and laminating doesnt affect the stickiness on the labels at all? just curious, thank you!!!
1. What brand of laser printer do you use? 2. After using gold foil lamination, do you not laminate the transparent plastic sticker for finishing, in order to avoid the gold foil peeling off? 3. If it's not necessary, is the gold foil strong enough to stick to the laser vinyl sticker, and doesn't peel off easily even when exposed to water?
I use an HP laser printer. I do not use these for stickers so I can't say what does or does not work. This was for a label that did not require laminating.
Hey Ashley,I paid a lot of money for branding and I'm not really happy with it. Do you have suggestions or someone you know who is good ? I know you did all of your own branding. Do you consult on branding? Thanks. Love ur videos.
@@UpsideGoodsCo I will setup a consult in a next couple of weeks. I don't mind paying. I just need a set of eyes on it. Thank you so much for your reply.
Y’all make sure that the background of the label stays white and your lettering is black. If its a different background color other than white, the foil will stick to the entire label and not the lettering. Also, make sure to get a laminator that gets hot enough for the foil to transfer. Happy foiling!

Thanks for sharing!!
I tried it but mine isn’t so clean . The writing is gold yes but there is small gold pieces on the clear sticker also . Why is that ?
Wait omgggg I don't even hv to use my cricut machine!!!! You are theeee best!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
No need for it!
@@UpsideGoodsCo wow I been trying to figure out how and you posted tdy 🌸💚
So cool! I’ll have to try this!
I always love seeing a new video from you! Have a great day!

Ohhhh okay so glad you said that thank you...
Definitely! I thought I mentioned that but maybe not! I'll add this to the description!
Would this work using a heat gun? Like the ones i melt my candletops with?
No I don’t think so!
Ooo I love! Instant subscriber l! Can you do a update video!!
Thanks for subbing!
Love it!
Thanks!!
cant you foil them all together? Also, you mean that If i print my stickers with the regular printers I cannot foil them with a luminator right?
What brand are the first labels that worked? I’m printing laser on Avery labels and it’s not working the foil is sticking to everythingg
I have it linked in the description!

If you want everything to be foiled, yes but you are right it might be a bit wasteful for the empty space.
Thankkkkkk you❤️
You're welcome!
Can this be done on candle tins?
I don't know that answer. Likely not.
What type of printer did you use? Can i use L121 printer?

I have no idea why... have you googled it?
Do you use the matte or glossy labels from Avery to foil? Will the glossy foil?
These were glossy which is usually the only thing I use so I can't comment on the matte but I'd imagine with the laser printer it would work too...
Have you ever used clear glossy labels?
So Ashley, when you print the toner labels what setting do you use labels, thick paper?, and laminating doesnt affect the stickiness on the labels at all? just curious, thank you!!!
Hey there! All the paper I've used is pretty thin so I can't speak on that. Laminating hasn't changed the stick for me.
Atleast 5. 🤣🤣
You're awesome

@@beardlong8235 Yes they could, it's typically not the quality I'm looking for with labels.
@@UpsideGoodsCo do what u do instead? U print them with traditional printer with sticker paper? Sorry, I am new

Yes!
I tried to foil on glossy clear and yes, I was super dismayed to see my gold foil covering the entire label, and not just the text!
