I know the programme has moved away from the regular host, but Armstrong is a definite candidate for the role if they ever brought it back. Another that seems to go down well is Richard Ayoade, although he has got a bit silly on occasions in the past.
Thank you so much for uploading. As a Brit in Canada who is going insane with the state of british politics, its nice to have this to help me calm down... 😅
How many of us watch this after the standard cut for a few extra minutes of pleasure, and how many of you ultra weird delayed gratification types miss the little one for the full version?
I want to say Ria is underrated but that may be just me. Not living in UK my main access to UK comedy is BBC radio which is almost certainly not representative. I've heard her on things like Breaking the News and she's, not surprisingly for a PhD holder, very astute and always seems impeccably likeable.
I'm just glad the long version comes put right after the edited one (a day or two?). QI takes months to release the long version. I still watch both episodes of each show because I have the memory o a goldfish. :p
“We’re sending a horse into space!” he joked. Allegedly Dido Harding, she of the Jockey Club is advising. So that’s where the £47 billion from track and trace went. We hope.
@@SuvinRK I've seen flies on many panel/talk shows and in some more than once. And the panel acknowledges it and make fun of it, which is how I notice it. Mock the Week and Graham Norton come to mind. Graham had it more than once. In this case I wouldn't have noticed if you didn't point it out. And I am struck by how huge they always are. Maybe flies in the UK need to be big due to the cold or something? And studios have big doors in the back for equipment and what not. So maybe there is always a big garbage bin close to the door or something. It happens, but I didn't think it would happen this much. I never saw a fly in US panel/talk shows.
@@shmookins lol At first I didn't believe because like you said I'd never seen any on US tv. Of course it's probably happened but we probably would've heard about it given what US tv is. As for their origin and size, who knows? The bin theory does seem plausible.
So the "brown" guy that they said that the people wouldn't vote for over the "white" woman, was right?! I mean, wasn't he the equivalent of our U. S. Treasury secretary? Why are we amazed that he knew this idea was crap? I'm not saying that either of the candidates were great, considering that they worked for Boris, but she is unbelievably bad. If I lived there, I'd rather have Boris over this...which is a scary thought! How the heck did they manage to find someone worse than Boris? OMG! I hope Truss isn't your Trump! Apparently, that would make Johnson your Bush 2! That's the thing of nightmares! Lol
Ria Lina is a very formidable Comedian. She should have the host job in what ever replace Mock the Week.. and there better be a replacement. The Beeb looks like they are trying as much as they can to stop satirical comedy insulting the Government of the day... wtf are they thinking? We may have to find a new tittle for them, to replace the tag -" Cheese eating surrender monkeys,"
28:30 What if that Duke of Dork (whatever) had ploughed into a car containing a family (sorry, peasants) with resultant fatalities? A comprehensive, full, impartial enquiry utilising the full might and right of the flawless BRITISH legal system, without fear or favour? Right Ian? Right? Though not.
Thank you ViVa for these. The “Bit Mores” are much quicker now. So very much appreciated from a Brit in Japan.
It’s not a “Bit More” episode 👀
@@bobwalker200 It’s in the heading on the clip!

"How did it all start?"
"Boris Johnson had a party."
🤣😂🤣
Oh, just finished watching the regular one and here is the dessert! Awesome!
I also watch both, I like to try and figure out which bits are the extra bits
Thanks, need this more than ever with current events
"Nobody expects the Spanish police". 😂 The best meta-humour!

Need to have Matt Chorley guest host occasionally and have him as a panelist a few times a season.
I didn't know about him before--I really hope he comes back as well.
Absolutely top shelf! (And worth the wait.) Thanks ViVa!

"not even saying allegedly". Ian went savage there.
Seriously, the Brits discuss more in their comedy shows than we Americans discuss in our news.
Rhea Lina should be the next daily show host.
I'm so proud I could hold of yo the bit more!!
AA is the perfect host. And this was like the good old days of HIGNFY.
Does it push your buttons hon?
Oh the irony of rewatching this during a time when Truss is no longer PM and had in fact been replaced by Sunak
1:31 the way Alexander Armstrong introduces Ria Lina sounds like a unit creation sound effect from Age of Empires
Next week, please welcome guest Chris Wololo
Haha
I never noticed b4 how truly enormous Alex's ears are
The one thing about the economy tanking and political turmoil is that HIGNFY is always better when the sh*t hits the fan.
Alex Armstrong is up there with the best presenters of this quiz. He's equally as good as the lamented Angus in fact.

Why do they even bother with the un/extended version - don’t we all prefer the longer version?
Matt Chorley and Ria Lina are brilliant!!!
