Son, thank you for bringing Pa the wireless charger in the hospital. It was a lifesaver. In the middle of all your own stuff, you still came and sat with him for 2 hours. Your such a diamond son, and Mrs bananas too. Love you both
It must have rained a lot during the night. The area you plan to camp in the future sure flooded. My vote is for anywhere. You always find great sites. There are some big bugs in Florida. I’d recommend sleeping in a bug net. They have the same spiders as we do here in Louisiana. You may not be afraid of spiders, but I’m not fond of wolf spiders half the size of tarantulas crawling on me at night. In the pine forests here we have tarantulas and scorpions.
I watched your first 15 oldest videos then jumped to this newest one... light years in improvement! Camera quality, camera angles and b roll footage, knot education, cooked food rather than from a can, your personality has came through on and on and on. Good job and keep up the good improving work!
Sam you are the rain camping king. Hope your back feels better brother. I also suffer from lower back pain. Definitely keep doing the yoga and stretching. Love your videos!
Anytime I've gone camping it always rains on the last night. Sometimes the whole trip, but always the last night. Might be why I like tarps because they're easier to dry out at home.😊
Man I love your videos, you and Steve Wallis have given me the inspiration to start filing my adventures. Now I have to work up the courage to upload them. Thanks so much for your videos friend.
Oh no Sam....Oops No fun to loose most of your dinner. Thank goodness for plan B. Ms. Bananas takes good care of you. Sorry about the back issues. I have struggled for the past 2 yrs with sciatic issues. Chiropractor has helped me the most. Beautiful Trumpeter Swans Sam. I would enjoy anything you put out for us. God Bless you and Ms. Bananas. Hope you are having fun in Florida. Can't wait to see what's next.
Sam, You're really one of a kind! It's raining like crazy, it's cold, everything is wet. But still, you're having fun! You're a perfect example on how everyone should be. and you've proved it's possible to start a fire under the rain. Well done!
Fun rainy video, thank you for sharing Sam. Enjoy your time in Florida, looking forward to seeing a hike. As a fellow man of the woods, that sound was most likely a Bigfoot, or a frog :)
Enjoyed this video overall, i like your simplicity while dealing with the rain and things that go wrong. To me camping is time away with my thoughts and problems and figuring them out, you always encourage to get back out there. Thanks
Good old rain camping. Something about rain camping is cozy. The mud sucks though. I'm still in the beginning of the video. The portable table would be nice to
You jinxed yourself not being sure if you wanted to eat all of the Hamburger Helper. The wood spirits decided to take it all. You're definitely a better man than me, because I would've been raging at the fire hahahahaha.
I believe you set up by a Snipe Nesting Area . Snipes can be found in various types of wet marshy settings including bogs, swamps, wet meadows, and along rivers, coast lines, and ponds. Snipes avoid settling in areas with dense vegetation, but rather seek marshy areas with patchy cover to hide from predators
Dude, when you spilled the food I tried to jump through my phone to save it. Couldn’t figure out why you weren’t eating it off the logs but then shortly realized you had a back up plan. Nice.
Great job on the fire... I used to love camping in the rain... I hate having to set up camp in the rain.. lol At my age I don't do it as much anymore. .but I enjoy watching you guys brave the elements. My hat's off to you guys and gals
Another good video, enjoyed it. You may already know this, but thought I'd tell you what I've used to start fires in the rain. Find 4 to 6 inch diameter, dead not rotten pine, fir, soft wood, preferably. Cut 12 inch sections. Split with hatchet or knife. The center will be dry as a bone. Split several pencil size slivers. Great help starting fire, when every thing else is wet. Enjoy Florida, it's almost snake weather here in the south, (I'm in Alabama) be watchful and careful.
There are so many of your videos where I personally would have thrown everything back in the pack and gone home. Thanks for always sticking it out and reminding us that bad days really aren't that bad.
I hear ya bud! I was super close to packing it in on this one and I do once in a while. Glad I stuck it out though because I really liked how this video turned out. Nice to see ya!
Sam I love your spirit! You’re such a cool guy! Maybe a trip at times but you always handle it.😊 Thank you for the video! Sending lots of love and respect always!!❤
Another rainy adventure, you're definitely a more dedicated camper than I am, I'd rather camp in 2 feet of snow than steady cold rain! Don't be ashamed to bring a camp chair along on these trips, I never used to in my 20s but as I get older and after the last couple decades of working in warehouses and factories I found my back to be really messed up, I need that back support.
Great video Sam always a pleasure to watch the channel keep up the good work my friend! The fire lighting was awesome btw good job! Hello Mrs Bananas! 😉
Your camping is very attractive!🏕️ I was impressed.✨ I thought that the rain was not comfortable.☔️ However, on seeing your camping, I understood that raining camp isn’t bad.🤭 I can be relaxed when I hear a rainy sound.😌 Your video became the splendid hint. It will update my camping.⛺️ I enjoy Japanese beautiful nature, too.🇯🇵🌸🏝️🍁⛄️
U the Man. I wish I was still young, man I sure miss camping out like that. It just don’t get any better than doing this. A Man will learn to improvise on a lot of things. Nutin like it. Keep up the great work and be safe, GOD BLESS
You should try a stadium seat. It has a back. I have a padded coleman that rolls up to a manageable, portable size. Its super comfy and has a strong back support. Lightweight too. I broke my back in 2 places in my youth and was prescribed yoga by my surgeons to do daily after I healed. Am 60 now and have done almost daily since then. Don’t over-do it tho - work up to it. Strengthen your core to support your back - yoga is fantastic for that!! Sending healing energy! Thanks for the videos! Its hard work!! ✌🏻 and what you hear is a spring peeper ( a tiny tree frog )!
You can twist and really open up those fire starters and that might come in handy in tough situations like this video. You didnt give up! Great video as always. ✌️
Here I am five months later and I had to rewatch this video. I liked it that much, it’s August 31 85° outside hot and muggy so I had to watch this late fall early spring video and I liked it again. Can’t wait for you to post more of the cold and rain, keep on camping
hello, sam, just became member, been watching for a spell, i'm the one that suggested putting tennis balls on the feet of your chair . love your vids, keep up the outstanding work , erv.
The buttons on your electric pump is gone but still works and if I can I will remove it from all my electronics devices because I find that it will always turn itself on in my bag. Cheers from Thailand..
You're the man, Sam. The only other person I watch on TH-cam that manages to light a fire in rain like that is Abel in New Zealand. Good luck in Florida. Hope you don't come across the giant pythons down there.
Sam is in heaven when is camping in the rain. Your tarp blends in quite well in that landscape. Try yoga for your back pain. It has helped me tremendously.
Beautiful video brother. Nothing bananas about that. I like to set up a larger, higher tarp to stand under and hang my stuff to dry. If need be, I'll set up a smaller tarp under that for more sleeping protection. Now that I'm 60 years my 3 legged chair comes with me. The comfort is so worth the 4 lbs lol. Sitting under the tarp, listening to the rain is priceless!
I highly recommend that you take 2 extra large tarps and connect them together ie I speak from experience. Always take more food and water than you need 😊 we love your videos and look forward to many more ❤❤❤❤
In the army , just before a mission, we do something called pre-combat check list / pre-combat inspection, make a list of everything you want on a camping trip , inspect all items , then pack it and your good to go ! I watch a lot of bushcraft videos and all most every time someone forgets something (we’re human) I almost cried when the cup fell over ! , cut the fire wood into 2ft length so you won’t trip on it , it makes no sense to burn a 6ft long branch in the middle Im glad to see you broke out the tyvek sheet :) , it’s a valuable piece of equipment almost no one uses anymore, for your back I recommend a cot , and a good inflatable pad ! I look forward to seeing the next video , Florida will be a challenge so prepare for it 👍🖖⛺️
Brilliant camping Sam. I always enjoy your adventures. Please keep them coming. The sound you heard sounded like ( to me anyway) a male tree frog about the size of the tip of your thumb. Very melodic. I look forward every spring to the sound of spring peepers. I think your potential camp site up on the hill above the stream is a great location. Have fun and enjoy yourself in Florida .
Liked and rang the bell! It's heavier, but I prefer the 8'x10' canvas tarp to the backpacker style. When it rains heavy and gets windy I set up low and use corner to corner configuration. Keeps me and my gear dry. We have wild hogs; gators, bobcats, mountain lions, and pit vipers here in Texas. They haven't gotten me yet, and it's the adventure I love,😊

My favorite camping weather and camping videos to watch are rainy ones. You’re making a living off of it, and I’m here for all of it!
Yes!
A rainy camp with humour and smiles. You make it look the most normal pastime. Even lighting a fire with wet wood.
Thankyou
I'm saying a prayer for you Mr. Sam Bananas. And I do have to say you lit up that fire like a BOSS!
Son, thank you for bringing Pa the wireless charger in the hospital. It was a lifesaver. In the middle of all your own stuff, you still came and sat with him for 2 hours.
Your such a diamond son, and Mrs bananas too.
Love you both
"Camping in a Prolonged RAIN STORM" could actually be the entire channel's name! 🤣
I think it's a feature, not a bug.😊
And that's why I love it 😊❤
And I would still watch!
Should we start calling him Soaked Sam? I think so! 😁
I love storm videos. Adding to my storm playlist.

Only somebody who is banana would camp in the rain ….thats why we love you !

Sam, your overflowing positivity makes your videos even more beautiful ❤ Thank you so much ❤
Yep, frogs making the noise. Welcome to spring!!
Are they called peepers? I was thinking that’s what they were.
Rain doesn't stop Sam from building a fire. In fact Sam Bananas once built a fire under water.
the Chuck Norris of camping. Of course Chuck could just tell the fire to start and the tent would errect it's self 😅 4:56
We should start making up Sam Bananas Facts (a la Chuck Norris Facts).
Sam you are the rain camping king. Hope your back feels better brother. I also suffer from lower back pain. Definitely keep doing the yoga and stretching. Love your videos!
Anytime I've gone camping it always rains on the last night. Sometimes the whole trip, but always the last night.

As much as I could see myself doing that do you ever feel frightened at night wondering what’s out there watching you 😀
Sam please keep posting and the camping videos I really appreciate them they make my day 👍
Finally Sam doing, what Sam does best. Excellent video.
as a fellow sam, this video is bananas and I love it.
Man I love your videos, you and Steve Wallis have given me the inspiration to start filing my adventures. Now I have to work up the courage to upload them. Thanks so much for your videos friend.

You are a trip funny and awesome 👌
Great effort as always ! Those are frogs, we call them “ peepers “ they are small and it’s mating season !
i love rain videos so the fire starting in the rain is fun to watch

Oh man, I felt that “Oh no!” when the pot tipped over.
You’re right about the psychological boost a fire gives 😊
I heard the sound of rain and knew that Sam Bananas was out for another adventure. The hamburger helper looked great. On to the next adventure Sam!
Good old rain camping. Something about rain camping is cozy. The mud sucks though. I'm still in the beginning of the video. The portable table would be nice to

Another great one! I love the footage of the Trumperter swans! They are so beautiful. Thank you!
Something about gazing into the fire while a soft, gentle rain falls all around yo and hits the tarp -- what an awesome way to mellow out!
It really is!
Hope your back feels better soon. Stay safe, my friend. You're my favorite tuber thank you for being reel
Thankyou for another great video, I hope your back is healing well and that Florida gives you a ton of sunshine 🌞
I'm so happy sam rain videos yes keep them coming buddy
I call them spring peepers...tree frogs. 😳😁
Nice 👍
Dude, when you spilled the food I tried to jump through my phone to save it. Couldn’t figure out why you weren’t eating it off the logs but then shortly realized you had a back up plan. Nice.

Dude, I can't believe how you drag yourself out to camp during rainstorms!
Now that’s what I’m talking about your videos are brilliant mate

Hell yeah I like the rehydration idea and you get to eat sooner
You are, indeed, the one and only Sam Bananas; great video!
Sorry to hear of your back pains. Definitely pack something to make your next trip more comfortable. Oh... and don't spill your dinner! :)
Sam Bannas, YOU ARE THE MAN!! GREAT VIDEO!!
Yasss! Richie Bananas! Good to see you again! Stay hungry my friend!
I love camping in the rain.
Nice video bro as always thanks for sharing
Hilarious… I’m doing the same tarp camp in the rain in southern Ohio while watching this. Only difference is i brought a chair😂. Sorry Sam!
The rain sounded really realistic in this one, it was nice.
LOL.Hi Sam. You haven't a clue what you're doing. Love it!
Here I am five months later and I had to rewatch this video. I liked it that much, it’s August 31 85° outside hot and muggy so I had to watch this late fall early spring video and I liked it again. Can’t wait for you to post more of the cold and rain, keep on camping
Right on bud thanks for the views man! I always get as much rain camps in as possible 🫡
It’s a Sam ban marathon , rain videos only , I probably watched 10 good ones already
Haha awesome man, thank you!
Another great Sam Bananas video. Thanks for taking me along again Sam.
When I was a kid I the only camping I did was a 10 / 14 foot tarp and rope . Great Memories of a trouble free times as a kid camping and fishing .
Sam, I think you attract rain and storms!
Now that’s a fire!!🔥
maybe next time make a tri pod over the fire and put moss or brush to keep the rain off. just an idea. love you videos
I don't care were you camp, I'm following LOL! Hello Mrs Banana's !
Listening for the soothing sound of rain drops
I hope the sun shines for you soon, in the woods, hate seeing you so soaked, brave soul, we love watching you !
hello, sam, just became member, been watching for a spell, i'm the one that suggested putting tennis balls on the feet of your chair . love your vids, keep up the outstanding work , erv.
Oh nooooo, no the food! I do like that tarp setup though!
I always bring a 2ftx2ft piece of aluminum to put over the fire for those rainy times....I just lay it on top of the fire works perfectly!
The buttons on your electric pump is gone but still works and if I can I will remove it from all my electronics devices because I find that it will always turn itself on in my bag. Cheers from Thailand..

You f-up just enough that us, the great campers 13:35 ,like me,can go crazy. Great vidio
Thanks, I think 😂
I really enjoyed this video, how patient you are, great demeanor, all the best from England.
My back has been bothering me for awhile as well. Let's sue UPS!
I highly recommend that you take 2 extra large tarps and connect them together ie I speak from experience. Always take more food and water than you need 😊 we love your videos and look forward to many more ❤❤❤❤

This must have sucked to film but it made for a really good episode ! Thanks for the effort Sam !
Now that is hard core, outstanding
The weather man said if the rain keeps up it won't come down 😅 another great one enjoyed it all glad you had back up on the food.
Amazing for your Camping in a Prolonged RAIN STORM | No Tent | Tarp Camping Lakeside. I love your video. I admire you.🥰
Thank you very much!
You always make the best of no matter what happens. Love yoù
Those are spring peepers Sam...they are tree frogs!!a sure sign of spring!and yes!they are loud!!!hope your back feels better
Losing your dinner🤷 at least there was a backup plan . Thanks Mr 🍌 that was fun
