When I finished rendering this the volume was perfect. I listen to this myself and it's SO QUIET. I am so sorry for this everyone, I do not understand why my comp is not mixing correctly :(
You absolutely HAVE to react to their new song, Doomsday. Its the first song that they've released since their guitarist/primary songwriter Tom Searle passed away to cancer last year. Its the very last song that he had a hand in making.
Architects lead guitarist and main songwriter Tom Searle passed away last year after a 3 year battle with skin cancer. He wrote this song (and this album) as he was dying. It is his last breath, his final gift to the world.
Yess more architects! Try architects - These colours don't run. It's one of their most well known like this one and it also shows some of the lyrics in the music video
I'm not sure how much you know about these guys, but this was their guitar player, Tom Searle's magnum opus. He died of cancer last year. The drums lock in so we'll because his twin brother is the drummer and they wrote it together.
The reason it's hard to determine the difference between the bass and guitar is because the guitars' lowest string is tuned an octave below the second lowest so it's in the same general register as the bass guitar
Here's the lyrics. Tell me was it all worth it, to watch your kingdom grow? All the anchors in the ocean haven’t sunk this low Sunk this low (Rotten to the core) So who’s left to count the cost? Beneath the ruin lies a story of the lives lost Now we’re gone, left without a trace But we took something they cannot replace A match made in heaven, paved the road to hell We’ve been down this path before Cold blooded retribution So fuck your revolution You chew up peace and spit it out as war You’ve been feeding the wolf that’s waiting at the door You are rotten to the core We found your fingerprints all over the trigger If you’re looking for tyrants, take a look in the mirror You knew all along, that the cancer would spread So don’t be surprised to find a price on your head Sorry son, but we destroyed your home We murdered your family, now you’re on your own Collateral damage, face down in the sand Watch the dominoes fall, it’s all just part of the plan A match made in heaven Paved the road to hell We’ve been down this path before Cold blooded retribution So fuck your revolution A match made in heaven Paved the road to hell We’ve been down this path before And every execution, the price of your collusion You knew all along, that the cancer would spread So don’t be surprised to find a price on your head Tell me was it all worth it, to watch your kingdom grow? All the anchors in the ocean haven’t sunk this low Sunk this low You are rotten to the core
if he really wants melodic sections, he should totally give counterparts a try, they have a great mix of fast hardcore and melodic parts song suggestion: "the constant"
Yes! As everyone is saying, Memento Mori is a great one! And make sure to watch the lyric video by TSArtwork - it should also help with the words. :) Here's the link if you need it: th-cam.com/video/YumhzVvq63w/w-d-xo.html
Architects is a british band and there lyrics are pretty deep and a lot on todays society, their album all our gods have abandoned is a very good album.
Watch the beginning of my reaction videos Derek, and you'll know why I talk over my videos. Partly for COPYRIGHT reasons, and partly because- well, watch the videos. Not just the reaction part, the part where I tell you WHY I TALK OVER THE VIDEO. And you'll stop looking dumb :)
I love how you always listen to so many different genres. And yes, the Bass stuff is mostly related to the Metalcore, more specifically Mathcore genre. I would love to know what you would think about listening to something a little more different from your usual stuff, mostly regarding the Production, as I would like to hear what you think about Black Metal, for example Der Weg Einer Freiheits "Letzte Sonne" (th-cam.com/video/RDpHjuWXK8Q/w-d-xo.html). Hope your back get's well soon!
Sorry this is so late... But they tune their six strings like a seven string without a sixth string if that makes sense... So they tune it to what would normally be drop f# on a seven string, but without the sixth string.
React to Periphery-Psychosphere please. At the end of the song there is a drum solo, while their drummer one of the most emotional and technical drummer
If you want to do one more Architects reaction I'm going to echo the voices of many others and say do `Memento Mori'. There's a good lyric video on youtube somewhere.
Hey man, not sure if you read comments considering how many subscribers you’ve got, but just wanted to say I feel for you on the chronic pain. I’m 22 and have arthritis in my back, and being in pain every day can be debilitating. If it is safe for you to do so, and if you haven’t yet tried it, I would recommend trying kratom for the pain. Don’t get cheap kratom at a smoke shop, do your research and find a reputable online vendor. Its addiction potential isn’t anywhere near that of prescription opioids, yet it’s strong enough to dull the pain to a more manageable level. Either way, wishing you the best.
u should react to some more of the band linkin park and more of their songs by them! u should react to linkin park Numb, bleed it out, from the inside, breaking the habit,no more sorrow, faint, what I've done! u r going to love all of those songs like a lot man!
When I finished rendering this the volume was perfect. I listen to this myself and it's SO QUIET. I am so sorry for this everyone, I do not understand why my comp is not mixing correctly :(
u recognized his voice cuz u did gravedigger before and his voice is unique in the genre

Its so familiar because you reviewed another song by Architects: Broken Cross!!
I'm not sure how much you know about these guys, but this was their guitar player, Tom Searle's magnum opus. He died of cancer last year. The drums lock in so we'll because his twin brother is the drummer and they wrote it together.
And the lyrics @ 6:35 were "tell me was it all worth it to watch your kingdom grow? All the anchors in the ocean never sunk this low."
The reason it's hard to determine the difference between the bass and guitar is because the guitars' lowest string is tuned an octave below the second lowest so it's in the same general register as the bass guitar
i watch every Architects reaction video you make. thank you for bring attention to such a great band!
Here's the lyrics.
Tell me was it all worth it, to watch your kingdom grow?
All the anchors in the ocean haven’t sunk this low
Sunk this low
(Rotten to the core)
So who’s left to count the cost?
Beneath the ruin lies a story of the lives lost
Now we’re gone, left without a trace
But we took something they cannot replace
A match made in heaven, paved the road to hell
We’ve been down this path before
Cold blooded retribution
So fuck your revolution
You chew up peace and spit it out as war
You’ve been feeding the wolf that’s waiting at the door
You are rotten to the core
We found your fingerprints all over the trigger
If you’re looking for tyrants, take a look in the mirror
You knew all along, that the cancer would spread
So don’t be surprised to find a price on your head
Sorry son, but we destroyed your home
We murdered your family, now you’re on your own
Collateral damage, face down in the sand
Watch the dominoes fall, it’s all just part of the plan
A match made in heaven
Paved the road to hell
We’ve been down this path before
Cold blooded retribution
So fuck your revolution
A match made in heaven
Paved the road to hell
We’ve been down this path before
And every execution, the price of your collusion
You knew all along, that the cancer would spread
So don’t be surprised to find a price on your head
Tell me was it all worth it, to watch your kingdom grow?
All the anchors in the ocean haven’t sunk this low
Sunk this low
You are rotten to the core

they are band involved heavily with political issues, religion, nature issues. They are also vegan and atheist. Great band indeed
Sorry this is so late...
But they tune their six strings like a seven string without a sixth string if that makes sense...
So they tune it to what would normally be drop f# on a seven string, but without the sixth string.
Yeah the easiest way to say it is they tune to Drop B, with a variation on the 6th string. Either C# (C# Standard), B, G# or F#!
There's videos of tom recording it somewhere on youtube and he uses a 7 string in what i think is drop F# in the studio

It's a 7 string guitar so it sounds deeper plus the active electronics in the instruments. It's gets real bassy such is the genre of deathcore
Adam Harris Tom used a six string actually, and passive electronics for this album, bare knuckle pickups I believe
The genre is Progressive Metalcore. The guitar in this song is tuned to C# standard with the low string dropped to F#.
