@@blondietruckingadventures ..Always impressed by those that have multiple languages under their belt .. growing up my family lived in Germany for three years, got there on a Thursday knowing how to say hello and good-bye, knife fork, spoon, thank you and Oma and Opa. Dad was German and Mom a Brit, they met traveling across Canada in the 50's Got a ride in the same car up the ski hill from Calgary and the rest was history. Anyhow both My sister and I were plopped into German school on the following Monday ... that is total immersion ... have never used it much since returning to Canada, but it is there and with a bit of use it comes back ... Have only seen Romania in pictures and vids, sure is a beautiful place. thx for replying .. make it an exceptional week .....

BUT I started as a HGV mechanic at 15 years old back in 1969! You have youth on your side, I am now retired but I still love to watch the truck drivers, especially young ladies like you! I worked with several female drivers and mechanics and I always found that they had a better work ethic and a better, safer driving style - every time! Please forgive me, there may be a good reason you do not, but do you ever speak in your videos? I would love to hear some comments/swearing/whatever as you go through your day! @@blondietruckingadventures I started as a Heavy Goods Vehicle mechanic, I did lots of courses in Auto Electrical systems Semi and fully automatic gearboxes (before they became a standard fitment) and anything that was new and progressive basically! After I married at 19yo we went to Northern Scotland on honeymoon and 50 years later, we're still here and still married! 😊😊 My real passion was European driving though! Every day is completely different - but you already know that! I started on Coach tours then went onto trucks (less annoying people) 😂😂 Which country is your favourite so far? I loved France and Spain. Great food and warmth! Have fun young lady! See you in the next video!
I have learnt automotive engineering, I really like gearboxes, they are a masterpiece, I made a lot of studying about them at the university. You are absolutely right it is very adventurous every day, you wake up in Switzerland and you arrive and sleep in Austria or Hungary. I am keen on driving in countries where is more challenging, for example in Romania we don't have very much motorways so when you drive it needs more attention. I really like Italy, and France for exactly what you said, it is sunny and warm, the people are kind☺️🌞

Thanks for the recommendation, Jacob! The truck's gearbox is automatic (I have two pedals: accelerator and brake). Additionally, the gearbox can also be manually controlled using the selector next to the steering wheel. Different from a car is the pneumatic braking system, plus there are two types of retarder brakes (there is also a button next to the pedals, and a control next to the steering wheel). In the future, I will probably make a video about these systems.

..... for the last couple of weeks slide guitar music is what I've been listening to when not listening to audio books .... have been listening to a slide guitar mix playlist featuring Justin Johnson on YT Music, rather enjoyable ..... you see some wonderful countryside in your travels ... that sure is not an easy flow exit to the weigh station, rough road surface or what ..... @@blondietruckingadventures .... what country are you from, am impressed with your written English, saw you responded to a comment in a language that I did not recognize .... speaking may be a good thing to add, at first a little to get used to it. In this video an example would be speaking the caption that you put in for the weigh station .... if you are not comfortable speaking to the camera, do voice overs ..... thx for your reply .... make it an amazing week .. cheers ...

I speak Romanian, Hungarian, and English very well. I also manage in German. For those who know Romanian (languages of Latin origin), it is very easy to understand French, Italian, and Spanish.

@@blondietruckingadventures ..Always impressed by those that have multiple languages under their belt .. growing up my family lived in Germany for three years, got there on a Thursday knowing how to say hello and good-bye, knife fork, spoon, thank you and Oma and Opa. Dad was German and Mom a Brit, they met traveling across Canada in the 50's Got a ride in the same car up the ski hill from Calgary and the rest was history. Anyhow both My sister and I were plopped into German school on the following Monday ... that is total immersion ... have never used it much since returning to Canada, but it is there and with a bit of use it comes back ... Have only seen Romania in pictures and vids, sure is a beautiful place. thx for replying .. make it an exceptional week .....

Greetings from Scotland! Really nice video, great camera positioning! We have something in common, we both started as engineers then became drivers! BUT I started as a HGV mechanic at 15 years old back in 1969! You have youth on your side, I am now retired but I still love to watch the truck drivers, especially young ladies like you! I worked with several female drivers and mechanics and I always found that they had a better work ethic and a better, safer driving style - every time! Please forgive me, there may be a good reason you do not, but do you ever speak in your videos? I would love to hear some comments/swearing/whatever as you go through your day! Just my personal preference, please do not take any offence! I am now a subscriber! Keep trucking young lady, it's a great job! 😊😊👏👏

@@blondietruckingadventures I started as a Heavy Goods Vehicle mechanic, I did lots of courses in Auto Electrical systems Semi and fully automatic gearboxes (before they became a standard fitment) and anything that was new and progressive basically! After I married at 19yo we went to Northern Scotland on honeymoon and 50 years later, we're still here and still married! 😊😊 My real passion was European driving though! Every day is completely different - but you already know that! I started on Coach tours then went onto trucks (less annoying people) 😂😂 Which country is your favourite so far? I loved France and Spain. Great food and warmth! Have fun young lady! See you in the next video!
I have learnt automotive engineering, I really like gearboxes, they are a masterpiece, I made a lot of studying about them at the university.
You are absolutely right it is very adventurous every day, you wake up in Switzerland and you arrive and sleep in Austria or Hungary. I am keen on driving in countries where is more challenging, for example in Romania we don't have very much motorways so when you drive it needs more attention. I really like Italy, and France for exactly what you said, it is sunny and warm, the people are kind☺️🌞
@@blondietruckingadventures You chose an amazing profession that I always felt was like being paid to be on a touring holiday! 😂I know the hours can be long and the work hard, but as you said - waking up in a new country is amazing isn't it! I will remember my first trip to Switzerland for as long as I live! 3 distinct cultures in one beautiful country and so clean! Waking up to a herd of cows with big bells clanking as they walk in sunshine to the pasture WOW! I thought I was in a storybook!! 😂 Have a great day wherever you are! 👏👏

you should try to do a foot pedal cam too, i'm sure the foot work is much different than driving a regular car.
Thanks for the recommendation, Jacob! The truck's gearbox is automatic (I have two pedals: accelerator and brake). Additionally, the gearbox can also be manually controlled using the selector next to the steering wheel. Different from a car is the pneumatic braking system, plus there are two types of retarder brakes (there is also a button next to the pedals, and a control next to the steering wheel). In the future, I will probably make a video about these systems.
