Great film I agree with you keep that green. It might come up in sometime in the future that Green may mean something fantastic.

Those all came out nice. That little King Dick is fantastic and I agree leaving the green was a good call. You could try oxalic acid or paint stripper on the wood for the black staining it might lighten it , I would just spot treat it .

Good evening to you. Thank you for the video, I really enjoyed the follow up and seeing how the tools progressed. The small King Dick reminded me strongly of my time as an Engineering Apprentice and that we would make something very similar early on as a skills test piece and a personal tool thereafter. And the noise of the circlip pliers clicking together reminded me of the, mostly fruitless, times I have spent 'fixing' cars and motorbikes.
I am glad that you have gone for the renovation/restoration rather than the 'back to new'. So much more character and so many stories in the items. Keeping the green paint on the Salter Balance just seems 'right's somehow.
    Thank you, 😊.

Hi, thank you for your wonderful comment. I'm happy my video reminded you of your apprenticeship, hope they are fond memories for you. The circlip pilers noise just reminds me of work and the love/hate relationship with circlips!
I think it's the right thing to do by keeping the green paint as it's of an age that if I tried to redo it just wouldn't be the same.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video, I enjoyed making it and cleaning the tools up. Hopefully if the weather is kind I'll be able to get to another car boot and make another video like this or I'll have to raid my shed to see what hasn't seen the light of day for a while. Cheers 👍
