Mr wilcock you are a legend why didn't you get a job in a band why teacher but u r awsome and should be praised for ur work Wilcock is the best person in this song
So weird I just found this, I was in this video, I was one of the extras in the 'Employment Cafe', I remember having a lot of fun doing it, I spent a year in a Australia back then and when I first got there it took a while to get a job due to mass unemployment at the time I seem to remember!!
If I recall correctly, the Deltones played Toowoomba the same night as Bruce Springsteen played Brisbane. Apparently, they pulled a far bigger crowd than the Boss. Can anyone confirm this for me?
Oliver’s Garage on the Old Pacific Hwy between Cowan and Brooklyn. Buildings lost in 1994 bushfires tho. I’m only here coz I just read about the location and it mentioned this music video lol
@@jackbadger56 Correct, but there are other locations nearby too. There’s a shot where they come under the expressway back to the Pacific Hwy at Mooney Mooney (as though coming back from Peat Island), plus a clip crossing the bridge over the Hawkesbury. My Nan said they were really friendly when they were doing it and I do remember she got some memento but can’t remember what it was. But it would certainly be lost in the fire. Nan literally got out with only the clothes on her back and a small suitcase when dad collected her and literally had to carry her out as she wouldn’t leave.
The Deltones never get stale. I am 70 and have listened to them many times. Enjoyable each time

Where were you from originally?
@1939PlymouthRatRod
This is from 1983 - the lead singer is Peewee Wilson, and he's the only member of the original lineup that started in the 1950s.
