Agreed. I never realized just how much I related to Onew either, since we are both introverts. But I can’t tell you the number of times I have had extroverts try to tell me that I should be more extroverted and social. I’ve even had teachers tell me that I would be happier if I just got out more and had more friends. They seem to completely disregard the fact that I am perfectly happy as I am, with my quiet little friend group. 😑 The struggles of being an introvert. Lol.

That DCM relay was just practically pure Jinki Bunny Energy for 4 minutes. He really does seem naturally shy and awkward, but he seems to have a "beast mode" - confident and commanding, that switches on when he's singing, performing or with his SHINee brothers. I do believe that Onew's strong but gentle leadership (which Minho has perfectly described as quiet charisma) is another factor that makes SHINee one of the most tightly-knit groups in the industry.
I wheezed throughout that relay. Especially when Jinki clowned Taem's piano solo, and took it very, very far. Jinki Bunny Energy perfectly described it. This man is in his thirties, and is still able to out-cute someone half his age. My MVP heart *melts* And yes, his quiet strength shouldn't be underestimated. Jinki may be gentle, but he is also capable. As Key puts it, their Onew hyung, who would never intentionally hurt others, was himself hurt, in protecting SHINee. We will never know the sacrifices Jinki made, in order to keep them safe and sound.
i literally started crying because of how validated i felt..i struggle really bad with social interections not only because i'm introverted, but i also have autism spectrum disorder and i often just don't know how to act so i mask and it's really hard to do and i'm always feeling down after it. but seeing him not trying to be the funniest or loudest person in the room make me feel like i can too and i can slow down on masking a little bit. thank you so much for this video! I'm sure he was a bit scared when they gave him the leadership position. There is something about him that makes him reliable and trustworthy. His members know that about him. Even outside of SHINee, he is recognized for his leadership skills when he was in the military. Now, he's leading the younger generation in individual investing. He may act clumsy and awkward on camera but away from it he's doing extraordinary things for himself. His members may follow his footsteps to be an investor too. Never underestimate the quiet ones.

He has actually always been an introvert..he just tried extra hard for variety shows to promote his group and stay active as a leader but I think that initial desire is now gone and he just now wants to enjoy his time singing and spending time with his members as much as he can. And maybe he got more awkward onscreen after his scandal and all. And I am more so ever happy for it coz he is not trying to look extra happy and fine, we all know he has his traumas to deal with.

When I was new to shinee and didn't know much, Onew was the member I always forgot (I know, crazy). But suddenly one day I realized all his charm and got the biggest crush 😭🥺 He's relatable, funny, chill, talented, cute, handsome, the whole package ajdnedkskld.
