- This is the last imperial mausoleum of the Qing Dynasty, built about 100 years ago. The owner of the tomb, Emperor Guangxu, ascended the throne at the age of 4. He never really held power in his life and was just a puppet. He was poisoned to death at the age of 37. Twenty-five years after his burial, the tomb was robbed, and his body was dragged out of the coffin. This is the story of this tragic emperor and his tomb.

thank you for your great narration!
My pleasure, thank you very much. 😄
Guangshu would have been a good emperor if his aunt didn’t put him under house arrest and poison him. She received her bao ying right after. Both were poisoned.they have done tests on the corpses since indicating arsenic, I believe.
So very interesting to see places I can never visit - Thank You - I would love to see a similiar video of the Empress Dowager's Tomb which was also robbed and desecrated...
The ashes of Emperor Puyi, initially deposited at Babaoshan upon his death in 1967, were transferred in April 1996 to the Hualong Imperial Cemetery.
Myself and my family are enjoying your videos Thank you

@@LaoWang624 I asked you another question in your previous video(very good too), can you have a look and answer me if you can. Thanks.

Yes, I remember, the Han Dynasty Tomb episode about "people not leaving their names in history"? I thought I had already replied, maybe I got it wrong, I’m not very familiar with TH-cam’s comment system yet.😅 Then I'll just paste it here.
Oh, what I am trying to say is, the names of many people cannot be found in historical documents, except for emperors and some extremely influential figures. As for the biography, there should be one, perhaps it was written on silk and therefore rotted. Hundreds of years later, people began to carve epitaphs on stones so they could be preserved. In fact, it is difficult to preserve the relics in such caves because they were exposed to the air. It might be different if they were buried underground.
Very interesting!
Thank you~😃
Tq so much for adding english sub ❤❤❤❤❤

Why wasn’t his nephew buried in the imperial palace mausoleum?
Let's just say, his family's dynasty no longer existed, and the new regime had no obligation to build such a luxurious mausoleum for him.
