Sort of what happened with Orginal Ray's Pizza in New York and the other business "Famous Original Ray's." I think this also happened in Chicago with Uno's Pizza.

How would an author or artist protect their pen name from a being used by other people? There's a good chance some might want to disconnect their work when it's something like art from their personal life but also protect their brand without revealing their name to the public.

Ok. I am a single member LLC that formed his biz in NY. I don't sell out of a physical location all my transactions are online thru Ebay etc. Do I legally have to transfer/domesticate my biz to PA which is the state I moved to? Or can I continue without transferring/domesticating my biz and not be legally obligated to pay taxes in both states and just pay taxes to the state that the biz was originally created in?

Typically by filing Articles of Dissolution with your state - but make sure that is the right decision for you.
