    I’m now living in San Diego, formerly from Rhody & it’s absolutely true about the humidity over there. Happens once in a while here but not as badly as it did over there.
    As far as digging clams here, it’s less than half the cost to buy what you need in an Asian market. Over there people are allowed to dig enough clams to feed a family for free. Over here it’s a major investment.

    You collect clams at low tide, when they are spitting water! They spit water and you use your clam rake to pull them up!

    Olive oil? WTF man. You dice up salt pork, render it and then add the onion and celery. Real RI clear broth has no garlic, no lemon juice, no cilantro, no red pepper flakes and it sure doesn't have chicken sausage. Salt pork, quahogs or clams, clam broth, onion, celery, potato, salt, pepper and parsley with a bay leaf.
