I had one of those shelters. Lovely when it was up. However the clues on Ted Roger’s and dusty bins 3-2-1 were easier than putting it up 😊. Gave up in the end and sold it.
Here's hoping the New Year will bring some more clement weather for a visit to the beach. All the best for Christmas and new year. Keep making the videos, informative and enjoyable. A short cord and a spring clip on the coat collar to hold the cap when it blows off.
Thank you Anthony. I’m sure I’ll find good days to get on the beach. Santa may bring me some new gear to try out, heres hoping. Have a good Christmas and new year.
Great session! I have some great memories of fishing Salthouse in the winter with my best friend. We had some bass and flatfish out. But had to be careful of the seals chasing our baits!
Hi Tim. I had a seal greet me when I arrived. I don’t think it liked the look of me, ducked below the waves and I never saw it again. Nice to know you’ve had some good memories of fishing at Salthouse. A new year resolution to make some more maybe? Have a great Christmas and new year.
Definitely not easy making videos in high winds, thankyou for putting in the effort and putting one out. I have the imax fr beach shelter absolute nightmare, brilliant for the first few sessions after that as screws loosen the legs will twist and jam up as instead of making the pole joints round they have a flat side, I have to carry two pairs of vice grips to force the poles apart, I would never buy another one unless they change the joints, better with a Shakespeare salt or diawa sandstorm
There is a definite knack to putting it up and taking it down, but I think I’ve sussed it so don’t think I’ll change it now. I have had problems with the joints getting stuck in the past but haven’t had any problems recently now I know what I’m doing. Not had a problem with any of the bolts cominng loose but I will check now you’ve mentioned it. I like the fact it folds down to a nice size to fit on my trolley and in the car too. Thanks for commenting and watching Ronnie.
Good video matey strong winds are hard especially for filming. Your fitter than me and calmer with that shelter🤣. You need to forget about being Norfolk and spend some cash on an igloo. You’ll never look back.
Now I’ve sussed how to put it up and down regardless of the weather I’m keeping it. Folds down to a nice size to fit on my trolley and in the car too. Tight lines Vern
Eazy mate you ok , 10 out of 10 for putting that shelter up in those winds. I've got the grey n orange imax mk 2 shelter with the extendable legs . I've heard tronix pro released one what's very light??. I would like to wish you a very Happy New year from GRIMSBY
Adding the bag of shingle at the start makes a big difference, cuts down the chances of getting in trouble before you cover the skirts with sand or shingle. Had a few problems when I first got it but all sussed now. Merry Christmas & a Happy New year to you to Carl from NORWICH.
Eastern IFCA Byelaw 5 changed in 2023, and although the summary pages on the EIFCA website state that crab cart is not permitted to use as bait this is no longer the case. EIFCA haven't updated the relevant pages. The summary of the relevant clauses is given in the Regulation as: "This byelaw also prohibits the use of edible crab as bait within the district unless it is cooked offal. In addition, recreational hook and line fishing (including from a charter vessel) may use edible crab for bait but doing so requires the user to provide evidence that the crab did not come from within the Eastern IFC district or that it was bought as bait." If you're a recreational angler and bought it as bait, then you're fine. Tight lines for 2024!
Thanks for that. I was quite concerned that I had used an Illegal bait, especially as I mentioned it in my video. I wish they would keep the web site up to date. Now I will have to apologise for the apology! Thanks again, have a great Christmas and new Year.
@@theangliaangler I'm very glad to be able to set your mind at rest. Local byelaws create a lot of confusion, and it doesn't help when an IFCA doesn't fully update their website when things change!
Many Thanks for the very enjoyable videos throughout 2023 and wishing you and family all the very best for 2024 Sir :)
Thank you Robert for the kind words and thanks for watching and commenting during 2023. Wishing you and your family all the best for 2024.

I was that best friend! Absolutely loved fishing at Salthouse! And yes, I did actually catch prawns there during a storm!😂
I hope you still are best friends, maybe you should get together again at Salthouse?
Happy Christmas.@@jegoundryjg
