started June 02, 2023 completely renovated my front lawn. its Jul 6th its re seeded and looks friggin amazing. I love mine. My neighbors are now drooling over my fescue/microclover lawn.
Good job describing and demo'ing the cultivator and proper orientation. Planning on getting one to break up red clay soil compaction and mixing in nutrients. Thanks.
Just an FYI another reason for the removable tines is to allow you to run just 2 vs 4 tines. That is what the inner cotter pin holes are for on the tine shaft. Where this is HUGE is weeding between veggi rows and plants. You could even find a tube for a spacer to allow you to use only the two outer tine positions. You could then straddle seedlings to weed. Its great for amending soil i.e. blending. Also great for finer cultivation after a pto rototiller or digging tge furrow to drop bean seeds potatoes etc to plant. Its actually a really habdy tool Way more so than it looks to be on its face. I thought it was something for a senior in thier flowerbed till I actually looked for uses in the garden. Saves lots of time weeding between bean and potato rows Mixing in amendments and getting a fine soil grade size for actual planting. Take alit more time using a hoe garden rake etc.
Nice! Just picked this unit up today. Already had a few attachments coming from my FS85 (broke throttle cable rainy day project). Thanks for the nice video! Might have to get this attachment soon.
Great job on the video and thanks for mentioning the tine rotation issue because I have the same problem with mine. The rotation is reversed and boy it's a handful when it decides to dig in and head toward your feet! I saw the rotation in other videos was away from the operator so I figured someone must have assembled it wrong. They are great little machines, really helpful with keeping the weeds down between rows in the garden too.
Thanks for watching. Glad you got it working. I was reading on STIHLs website they had a recall on them last September 2020 said 180,000 some where put on backwards.
Great video, very honest and informative. I’ve just bought the KM 131 R, didn’t see much use for the tiller attachment… looking at this video and the comments I’m reconsidering. Great info ref the mis-assembly, Stihl should do a mod so that can’t happen?
Lol ok now I know what the damn problem was when I first started mine it kicked me way back to and I had to flip it for it to work... now I’m gonna correct that problem real fast! And I was also using the 56 which was bugging out real bad so I ended up buying a 131 for like $100! Thanks for the insight...
I have a Homelite 26cs trimmer. Wondering if this tiller attachment would be good for me? I have alot of gardening to do, and would make it so much easier and quicker so I can move on to my next project. Good video.. Thanks
If homelite offers an attachment I’m sure it would work for you. I’m not familiar with the homelite brand. The tiller attachment I’m using only fits STIHL.
Good informative video. I hope they figured out who the idiot was who was assembling the tiller backwards. Mine was the same and I thought what the hell?

Same problem with attachment. Thought I was going insane. Fired it up and nearly skewed myself. Thank you.
Yeah I wasn’t expecting that to happen either.

Thanks no problem.
Thank you sir. Used it for the first time on my job today. 😄 Did a really good job 👍 Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰
That’s good to hear thanks for watching.
Nice presentation. I used mine to dig through grass to make a tree line ditch I feed from the canal.
Thanks. That’s cool
Great video! My unit was set up incorrectly as well...very frustrating to work with until I realized the issue.

Had a similar situation with the pole saw attachment. Had to spin the saw a half turn on the shaft.
I have the bristle brush. Dealer made the same mistake.
Would it be possible to swap the bristles with the tiller blades? Gearbox looks the same
I dont know I don’t have the brush. If it looks the same it could possibly work.

I picked up a tiller for my 131 last week. Used it today. It also runs backwards. Do I just loosen the gear box bolt and turn it?
Yes
@@4MRanch Thank you Sir. I like it a lot better now, lol.
No problem, It’s a little easier to run now lol. Please subscribe.
I just got mine this last week. The head on my cultivator is turned on an angle to the left. How did you adjust your head on your unit?
Loosen the torx bolts on the head where the clamp the shaft then rotate the head till it’s strait.
Ive got this
brilliant kit
Thanks for sharing

Love the safety shoes! 🤦🏻♂️ Thanks for the demo, though.

Homelite is made by the same parent company that makes Ryobi so a Ryobi cultivator should fit if your trimmer accepts attachments
Thanks for answering that question.
Hello wich motor please?
131
Would this be good for getting rid of poison ivy?
No the vine would wrap up in the tines an you would get it all over your hands untangling it most likely
Where do I get this to buy in Virginia
Any dealer that sales STIHL should be able to order you one
Is so light weight and easy to operate
Would this be a good cultivator for a couple of raised beds?
Yes ,I use it on mine it works great as long as the dirt a little moist.
4M Ranch I bought it with the weed eater attachment. It’s awesome!
Great!
What u think it’ll do in woods to make some food trails?
Probably not good for that
I need to purchase this attachment. Thx !!!
👍🏼

Thanks!
Donde lo puedo conseguir acá en Colombia

LA WEA DA ENVIDIA!!

Good informative video. I hope they figured out who the idiot was who was assembling the tiller backwards. Mine was the same and I thought what the hell?
Mine was same way lol glad i checked the video. I couldn't hardly hold on to it.
