Candle Warmers: Better Than You Think!

  • Candle Warmers: Better Than You Think! #candles #homefragrance
    I was not expecting for a candle warmer to be so good! In this video I will let you know the benefits of using a candle warmer. I picked it up because I was curious to know if it had the same performance as burning an actual candle. I was surprised that it did in fact provide amazing performance to my luxury candles. It melts the wax even, every single time without issue. I even noticed it fixes tunneling very easy. I wont be giving up the feeling of seeing a flame flicker, but a candle warmer is an amazing option when I just want to have a candle "burning" without actually having it burning.

      Candle warmers are the only thing I use for my candles. 1. Safety around my kids. 2. A candle warmer stretches my candles for years so makes the luxury candles worth every penny.

      Would be an interesting video idea to see if candles lasted longer when using a candle warmer vs burning them.

      @@allastairwebb1737 You don’t have to remove wax from the candle. A wax warmer is when you would have to clean out the old wax to replace it with a new cube of the same scent or a completely new scent. And that could be done with soaking it up with a paper towel if you let it sit for a bit inside the warming plate, or just dumping the wax in the trash (on top of a piece of garbage that won’t melt through of course) and then cleaning the cooled down wax residue with paper towel. Then you just replace with a new scent/old scent!

    Thank you Rakeema, as I am amassing quite the candle collection thanks to your recommendations and a few selections of my own I was wondering if a candle warmer would help with a candle I have that’s tunneling. I was also wondering cand you use it to warm a larger candle and them light the candle to prevent tunneling like for harder wax candles that take longer to pool out like the Lafco 30 oz 3 wick candles. I still may get a candle warmer just to accompany my candle accessories. I really love your videos and your selections keep ‘‘em coming. Please tell me what you think.

    • @DetailedDream
      @DetailedDream  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I found that after a few times using the lamp, the scent would begin to evaporate. Its normal with using a lamp. Once this happens, I light the candle to burn off that top layer of wax to reveal a fresh layer with full scent. Its a better method than pouring out the top layer of wax avoiding any mess.

      I should have mentioned this in the video. Yes after a few melts, the top layer of wax will begin to lose its scent. You will have to pour it out to get to a fresh layer of wax. Depending on if I’m using my warmer often, I would revert back to lighting the candle to burn the top layer so I won’t have to deal with the mess of pouring out the wax lol.

      you will need to dump the melted wax from the candle when there is no more scent being given off from that layer of wax. Yes use jumbo cotton balls, pippette or throw in a waste bin. You will see 1/4 of liquid wax away from hard wax that is the real clean up after done certain days.

    Uhm.. in this case the waxes don’t get broken down to h2o and co2. But they float as aerosol’s in the air. This is much unhealthier than burning a candle

      I think the problem with diffusers is that they smell amazing at first but after a while the nose may become blind to the scent.

    Whose idea was it to have a black man talk about candle warmers?

    Thanks for sharing this. You’re always the best!
    But I’ve heard that candle warmer dissipates scents from a candle but not the wax itself, leaving the candle intact but eventually unscented.🥲

    • @185O
      @185O 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Yes, this happens. That's because the wax isn't being used as fuel, so it's not evaporating.
      No worries though! When you no longer notice a scent, simply pour out the top layer and you're good to go.
