We look at a 1 bedroom and a 2 bedroom unit in this awesome Chiang Mai condo building; Rimping Condo. www.buymeacoff... Instagram; joninchiangmai maps.app.goo.g...
I bet the architect for this building is the same who designed the Furama Hotel (just opposite Maya Mall) - the rooms look almost identical to the one's in Furama and I stayed there many times. Excellent location there and most reasonable price (when i was there, mind you - Corona times.. ). All built early 90's. The 1-bed looks really quite good, I loved the kitchen and bathtub, great value for money, despite the location. The 2-bed not so great.
Apart from the hospital green in the kitchen the one bed is an absolute banger, great layout and super spacious. No chance of cabin fever in that. 2 bed is ok but nowhere near the same level as the one bed in terms of design and layout. "Big and old", yes, well, the less said about that the better 😆
The one-bedroom is massive and has so much potential. The only slightly larger two-bedroom unit has a strange corner dining area, lacks windows, and has a small balcony.
Yep the ones we looked at belong to the developer of the building who still owns a fair chunk of it, there are renovated units in this building as well
I've been noticing that Not only just in chain my but In Bangkok, 2, what happened? What is going on with their river like their water Is it polluted like what is going on
@@JonInChiangMai thanks for the tour, I’ve always lusted after this building but don’t have the budget to buy and renovate. It’s a great location. I really enjoy your down to earth presentation, where the focus is on the property and area, not the presenter
chiang mai is lovely place....
Yep, 100%!
The one bedroom is 👌 super
👍
Very nice, I really like the 1 bedroom, Huge balcony and nice layout. Cheers.
Yep, with a renovation would be even better :)
Thank you Jon, really appreciate your perspectives.
Thanks Brian :)

Ah it could be, I'm not sure on that. Yeah the 1 bedroom stood out for me :)
@5:35 I know the Thai word ริม (rim) means the edge of, but didn't realize until now that it is a perfect cognate to its English counterpart.
Ah yeah, good point :)
I love the one bedroom , the balcony size won me over .
Same, I could live there :)

Yep, I liked the 1 bedroom best :)
Jon I like older condos because of there size but only if they’re kept up painted etc. but if they’re run down no.
👍
I love the parque floors.
👍
Nice to have an insight to this building. I guess there could be better renovated units found as well...

Thanks, Jon. Can you tell me what kind of camera you shot this with? The zoom looked great. Thanks again.
Thanks :) I use an iPhone 14 Pro.
Hoping to find a very run down unit in this building . My brother in law ( and great friend ) has a building company in CM.
Ah cool, yeah you may find one. One thing to bear in mind about this building, I think about 40% of it still belongs to the developer.
I always thought that condo was abandoned or something. Any idea how high it is? No sun on the pool is a plus for me.
Not sure tbh, it's quite a popular building :)
Some wood is nice but to dark if to much brown wood out of style . I like modern look better. If I bought an older condo I’d make it brand new.
Yep same here, older building with a fully renovated room :)
22000 for a 90s style condo is not good. View is nice however and the balcony useful. Needs a major refurb to justify its price, no way
Yeah I thought the price was a little high
I've been noticing that Not only just in chain my but In Bangkok, 2, what happened? What is going on with their river like their water Is it polluted like what is going on
Could just be the rain season and heavy rain
I am put off old tall condos after the Surfside condominium collapse, I know that was in usa but are these built the same way?
Not sure, but I don't think I've heard of a completed and livid in condo in Thailand ever falling down, but don't hold me to that!
What do you think of the Floral condo?
I've only been there once but never made a video. Great condo and location :)
First! 😂
Nice!
Do you know why the river is brown?
Not sure
Mud and silt perhaps
Big and old but only relating to condos hehe
😁
Embassy or Consulate?
Hmm I think consulate

That was not a gym! 🤣🤣🤣
😂
By the way Jon the pool is useless it’s a covered pool and cold. I do not like this building it’s run down no upkeep or modernization.
Yeah the pool would be too cold! I do like this building though :)
The one bedroom is the winner
Yep, great condo!
