- Join the concrete crew as we ALMOST finish up the big parking lot project. The cement shortage is a real problem and it is affecting a lot of contractors. This has never happened to me in my almost 24 years as a concrete contractor. Enjoy

Eric just so matter-of-fact about getting towed. Priceless.
Some might be wondering why you set a couple pins on top of the bull float. Needed the extra weight to work. Got in a bind once and had to use 2 boxes of nails. Free leftovers 1/4 mile from the batch plant. Returning trucks giving me anything they had rather than dumping it at the plant. Some of it was already setting up. Full sun in the summer you have to think fast. Turned out just fine.
My patio was poured yesterday looks great ,watching your show I was able to manage the pour in terms of compacting ,thickness etc...they bid the job at $4750.00 ,24 x 14 with taking out a stoup with wing walls ! Makes me want to rent a huge RIG bring powder up north to your area has to be money in it !
I feel your PAIN, We produce and sell hay in Texas Drought and they cut our Irrigation water. No water no Hay no Cement no work, prayers Ryan!!!

Marcel will be missed, and Ryan would take him back in a heartbeat despite him not coming in for his last day. to those few with negative comments about him not showing up remember how Carcel stepped up the 1st half of the year when Bugs was recovering. I can't see doing anything but wishing Marcel good luck as he moves on to better himself.
The crew is at least worth a goodbye txt tho. Better than nothing.

We keep thinking that Friday was Marcel's first day on the new job, rather than his last day with Ryan. It could be a misunderstanding of "the end of the week". Wishing him all the best.

But I will add, not showing up on your last day is a pretty lame move. Especially when you have such a good and supportive boss. That leaves a bad taste and ends things on a sour note when things were ending so nicely.,

Ryan, hope the supply issues sorts itself out soon. there are so many questions from us viewers can you do some question and answer videos with the crew when things quieten down? maybe do a short asking for questions and then a week later just go through them.

@@tewaewae yeap things were better 2 years ago when gas prices were down, to me this is the best thing that could happen, i have been saying for years we should not be dealing with China and make in America or with our allies only, there is cheap labor with our allies, we need China Biden and China Mitch out of office and anyone else who has ties to China out of office, as gas prices goes up so does everything else, i am 65 years old and never voted one day in my life till Biden said he was oing to get rid of oil bingo there gfoes preices on everything, it happened years ago if you are old enough to remewmber that $5 gallon gas before nd the cost of everything went up then, it is gfoing up again, what will happen when we run out of our oil reserves, they have used half of that already i hear, Trump filled them up when oil was less than $30 a barrel, this gfovernmeent does not care about the country or its people

I had to come back to TH-cam, just to see the coffee shop portion, and caught a good one.
I would’ve loved to have had a grateful boss like Ryan instead of the greedy/ungrateful/narcissistic bosses I’ve had in the past. I would’ve never pulled what Marcel did on his last day. His loss. I’m sure Ryan had a nice going away gift.
I work for a concrete company in Jackson and we don’t have cement shortages. There are weeks where we pour more than 500 yards

i been watchin this channel since the third video he ever posted. The fact that bugs is gone is such a sad feeling.
Ryan, dont listen to the people who hate on you for putting out "short" videos. We love seeing you all on camera. anything longer than 10+ minutes takes alot of work and we appreciate all the hard work you put into your work and videos.
I believe a certain number of shorts are required or strongly suggested by TH-cam. I think Ryan is busy enough filming, editing, pouring concrete and scheduling without having to make a quota of shorts.

You should check with Ford. Most of the newer trucks have strobes already installed. Just need a chip to get them going.
I went into panic station when I saw this , out of concrete , I throught no more victory this season , then boom we are back up and running on Monday
I just started driving the pneumatic tankers that deliver the powder mix to ready mix plants. 3 months in and I'm already transitioned to dump trailer for my company because there just isn't enough work for us in New England. We've run out a couple times now and it doesn't look like it's getting any better till we'll into next year. All of ours comes in on barges from NY. And a few times we've got it from Greece or turkey

i was in the ready mix industry for 20 years and the company i worked for was a subsidiary of a cement manufacturer and there was a time where we had a hard time getting cement to make concrete simply because they would make more money selling to other companies.
We’ve got jobs that are two months out with concrete, it’s ridiculous here in KY

I am a carpenter here in Milwaukee but have never done concrete outside of post holes and a sidewalk square and can do masonry so forgive me but can you not in emergencies rent a mixer and use bagged concrete? I know it would be a crazy amount but in a pinch it would get the job done no? Paul!
It takes 45 80# bags to make 1 yard. Sounds awful 😂. Plus I think it’s a lot more work. Look how handy it is when the truck can pour down the shute versus using the buggy

Wow. Cement shortages at the same time we have the Highest inflation of our lifetimes, interest rates/mortgage rates / fed fund rate / bond yields rising everyday. You would think the supply would be piling up in all commodity mkts and the demand falling like a rock. Add to that highest gas prices at the pump in our lifetimes keeping people from spending any disposal income, if any, But nooooooo. America is in trouble . The next 2 years might be very scary.

If u had an order on the books we wouldn't cancel it. We wouldn't take anymore orders we couldn't supply ot a nearby plant could supply. There's so many contractors that can't use a tape. They order 20yds and wanna go 50,60-100yds. NO MORE of that
