I noticed that Pop Race gained quite a momentum over the past 2 years, despite it's existence since 2019. I think it has something to do with their business strategy. They used to sell static model (mostly) for 20 USD or more. Then changing course by making more affordable models with rollable wheels (sometimes with pretty tidy opening parts). They also have some models that are hard to find in 1/64 (Singer, Stinger, CLK GTR, etc) which makes them even more appealing
Pop Race seems to be the sports line of XCartoys. XCartoys seems primarily focused on cars you'd see sold in China both Chinese domestic market and imported. I've purchased quite a few of both though personally for me I do find the Pop Race lineup more exciting. Definitely try to feature more of both.
I collect both. Xcartoys and PopRace are for me like Mini GT and Kaido House. Xcartoys are more "normal" and priced close to Mini GT. Sometimes, with a plastic base. PopRace is a little bit more crazy. But it's more to my taste than Kaido. My last purchase, I received it yesterday, is a recovery truck made by Xcartoys. Very deailed, with sliding bed and moving "butterfly" to tow cars behind. Sadly, it was slightly damaged but could be repaired. This is my first issue with both brands. So far, everything was perfect.
@christiannakamura1187 Yes. For me, it's more important than a licence from a car manufacturer. I can accept scale issues in cheap mainlines or even at Johnny Lightning level. But not in models twice as expensive. But it's always personal choices. Kaido House is very popular so there are plenty of people with different POV. And this is good.
I started collecting last year. Of course, I first looked into hot wheels. My friends in Indonesia collected other brands, they say hot wheels is very expensive over there. So I started collecting what they liked. Now, my faves are Inno, minigt, pop race and tarmac in that order. Hobby Japan and Tomica are pretty cool too. I only collect JDM with a few exceptions and licensing is not very important...
3:23 the engine compartment on that Porsche opens up: the area in the middle of rear window and the spoiler. You have to unscrew and pop it out from the inside. It's super tiny and barely opens up, makes me question if it's even worth having it on there but definitely a cool quirk
Pop race castings are mostly licensed, that's why it's taking so long for the CLK GTR to be released. Also xcartoys and pop race are separate companies, they just have a deal that allows pop race access to the Chinese/Asian markets.
I don't mind unlicenced castings, as long as they make a good replica of a popular car. Very similar to Mini GT in overall look and feel. Singer 992 , Nismo 400R and the Hakosuka are my most faves here. Pop Race's box artwork is a also looking great and way more striking than Mini GT's imo. I have a few of their models and i intened to b uy more in the future. Thanks for showing these.
As for Pop Race they are quickly becoming one of my favorite brands and I probably have 40-50 examples thus far. Here is what I have noticed. Pop Race cars went up in cost but that increase appears to be commensurate with an increase in quality. The most recent releases have a heft about that is impressive. I prefer hefty weighted cars. I have also noticed more detailed attributes. I have about 8-10 XCars and they appease to be a more cost effective entry level diecast vehicle. I have also noticed that the XCar models are odd car models not typically found in the US. Another odd thing I have noticed is that while Pop Race releases cars in the same style & size box the XCars come in a wide variety of odd size boxes that do not match any other brand. I think I have 3 or 4 examples of different size & type boxes for just 8-10 vehicles.
Love Pop Race, would happily pay a bit more if they were licensed. They should just do it. Still love them though. Them and BBR are my top 2 rn. Some have nice interior detail also which I'm a sucker for. The white drift is nice but mine has a chip.
i have a couple of these, not bad detail and quality and very competitively priced i don`t care about licensing i`ll buy more, love the v8 nissin drift car, have a couple of different versions of that one
I just got my 1st - 5 pop race cars just recently .They are super detailed. True 1/64. Metel/metal ,rubber tires. Opening parts. I really love mini gt and kaido house. But these pop race cars are beautiful pieces. Really wish hot wheels premium could pull this off. I know completely different. The world of collecting pick what you love.
The drift Hako is based on a real car in Japan. It is actually orange tho. There 1st release of this casting was the OG color. Did you say an R32 and an R33 look like the same casting? 😁👍
With regards to whether it's officially licensed or not, certain dealers that are strict about only carrying officially licensed products are carrying them so I assume they are officially licensed... Pop Race has the new Countach and McLaren F1 coming soon...
Xcartoys and poprace are two seperate manufacturers, BUT....... for the chinese market, Xcartoys cobrands with poprace for distribution as Xcartoys has the distribution network\dealers setup and running like a swiss clock. Xcartoys is 100% licensed (they have Chevy\Ford\Citroen\Audi etc license, 2025 is going to be HUGE, keep an eye out for them), Poprace does have a license for Toyota for sure, but their other brands I'm not so sure. Xcartoys 95% of the time have suspension, even if it doesnt feel like it does (look at their A90 supra release with poprace, its an xcartoys designed casting, that has suspension).
Interesting evolution of PopRace. Earlier they used to repurpose castings from Inno64 and Tarmac Works. I have an Audi R8 GT3 LMS from PopRace which even says Inno64 on the base. The R32 and R33 GTR have metal wheels thats why they are blocked off. Pop Race has done a budget casting of the R32 in 1/64 scale that actually looks close to the real thing. Inno64 and Mini GTs castings were way off the mark.
The Calsonic is definitely a hit from POPRace, but the others are meh, not super cool. Now just the CLK GTR , F1 and Huracan STO are the ones worth looking forward too. POPRace has potential to be the next MINI GT, but they need better casting choices like cars that will excite people rather than modified cars like the Stinger GT and the GR yaris.
I got the Calsonic one as my first Poprace last week, it looks more accurate than the MiniGT version.while I have no problem if it's licensed or not but they have a widebody porsche that I wanted but the model did not have a porsche emblem on the hood which made me not buy the model.
Let me start with my Ali Express experience since I too hit them hard regularly for stuff. I will break it into 2 categories. Boxed cars & carded cars. 100% of the boxed style cars I have purchased have arrived in pristine condition in reinforced boxes wrapped with those super high impact air pillows that seem to be very common in Asia as even the Customizers I buy over there use them regularly to a high degree. At least 80% of the carded cars (all US Walmart exclusive HW Silver Series stuff) I’ve purchased have arrived destroyed. Literally destroyed in pieces. Shipped in poly bags with the cars simply laid flat and overlapping and then shrink wrapped. Just awful. Worst then the worst inexperienced sense seller. The last 20% was fine only because it was a full and complete case I ordered vs sets. I also think the actual seller may have an impact here.
I dont know if anyone knows, but are they LICENSED? Tbh, I dont care as long as the model looks great and price is great! But I have never seen a "NISSAN MOTOR CORPORATION" licensed sticker anywhere or "Porsche official Licensed product" sticker anywhere or "SINGER official product". Are they using similar tactics like other brands to avoid getting license or sued? lol
It's a toy car 😂😂who cares if it's licensed😂 you can't drive it😂😂 the Chinese copy or have copied full size cars😂😂 and then say😂no it's completely different 😂😂

XCarToys are fantastic. One of the best brands for me.

I prefer Pop Race over Kaido House too since they’re true scale.

@ I agree completely.
In my case, Pop Race is more affordable & easier to get compared to Xcartoys. Although it's slowly changing over the past few months.
The brown 😮 the red😮 and the silver 😮 are cool 👍 and i do like opening bits😂😂😂🎉
Just received my first PopRace-car, purple Nismo 400R, it is very good, want more from that brand 😀👍
Pop race cars blowing past the competition!
Yeah, get some more they’re really cool!
I started collecting last year. Of course, I first looked into hot wheels. My friends in Indonesia collected other brands, they say hot wheels is very expensive over there. That Van is DOPE. I’d like to see it in a more “Street Style” Paint, Graphics, Rims. I think that would be Cool.

That red R33 is as good as I have seen.
As for Pop Race they are quickly becoming one of my favorite brands and I probably have 40-50 examples thus far.

The skyline drift 💣💣💣💥
Get the orange one. I think that was the first edition. Awesome color!!! 👌
Love Pop Race, would happily pay a bit more if they were licensed. They should just do it. Still love them though. Them and BBR are my top 2 rn. Some have nice interior detail also which I'm a sucker for.

5:48 6:00 Open Door .. All Cars 😱
Wonderful Pop Race !!! 🔥🔥🔥
12:43 be EXTREMELY CAREFUL while opening the trunk on it, if you open it using the spoiler, it'll pop right out. Ask me how I know...
i have a couple of these, not bad detail and quality and very competitively priced
i don`t care about licensing i`ll buy more, love the v8 nissin drift car, have a couple of different versions of that one
Any time I get a diecast car with an opening trunk I always put a little tiny model person in there like they are being kidnapped. 😂😂😂😂
I just got my 1st - 5 pop race cars just recently .They are super detailed. True 1/64. Metel/metal ,rubber tires. Opening parts. I really love mini gt and kaido house. yes.all be xcartoys
Good video,many thanks👍🏼🇬🇧

Love my pop race castings 🔥🔥
I’ve order from Ali express many times and my boxes came mint, it depends on the seller, look at their reviews
stinger is its own brand, like RUF
Xcartoys and poprace are two seperate manufacturers, BUT....... for the chinese market, Xcartoys cobrands with poprace for distribution as Xcartoys has the distribution network\dealers setup and running like a swiss clock.

The base on Pop Race looks similar to Mini GT.

Often times you can get poprace cars from the xcartoys brand, and in that case they are identical.
Opens GTR trunk and finds 1/64th scale kilo of blow “WTF??!!” In all seriousness those are nice, I like the all gold porsche they offer
Very cool video ricobobe

I believe Paragon/para64, xcartoys and pop race is under the same company
That would be interesting as Para64 are all licensed legitimately
Let me start with my Ali Express experience since I too hit them hard regularly for stuff.

Yes they are a legit licensed brand
I wonder if PopRace are non Chinese car brands while XToyCars are of Chinese car brands
XCarToys does mostly do Chinese brands but they also do brands that are available in China like some Buicks and Toyotas.
@ but are the Toyota and Buick models of things that are only available in non-USA markets like Toyota Crown or Buick GL8? 🤔
@ Exactly those models. Plus a Buick Regal GS, which we did get here in the states.
@ yeah, Buick has a much bigger presence in China than USA. It’s not viewed as an “old man” brand
@ I wish it was the same here. I love Buicks. The ones from XCarToys are awesome, pick some up when you get the chance!
Nice models, but these cars aren’t for me.
It's a toy car 😂😂who cares if it's licensed😂 you can't drive it😂😂 the Chinese copy or have copied full size cars😂😂 and then say😂no it's completely different 😂😂
