Cub Cadet 1517 Lawn Tractor Engine Racing, Carb Replacement Fix

While I was cutting the lawn there was an abrupt change in the engine speed. With the PTO on, the machine bogged. And with the PTO off, the engine would race. Trying to control it with the throttle lever had little effect. I found the carb throttle plate shaft had broken at the screw attachment and the carb needed to be replaced.

You’ll need to rebuild it though and. I haven’t looked into parts for it
