That is hard. Note cards can work great, but each person learns differently so what works for me won't necessarily work for you. Try it and see how you do. And the time depends on how good you are at memorizing. Some people spend 30 minutes, some spend hours. There is no easy answer to that either. Spend as much time as you need to know it. Sorry I cannot be more concrete.
