Which of these mental motivators is most helpful?

I enjoy your lounge setting, it feels more casual, and yet not distracting at all.

Setting is thumbs up. Your branding on screen is a nice touch. Your tv (or radio) experience is apparent in your well written on-point copy, all under 8 minutes. Well done.

so very true - give yourself a little more time and plan out your shots before you do them!

Great tips, I like this space better because it's more of an open space. Mentally, when watching a video with more of an open space like this is more relaxing to me, that may just be me personally.

Lighting in this current room is awesome, has such a nice warm homey feeling glow! And the outtakes! Love it!

Great back ground and some awesome tips but must confess, I could listen to you and watch you for hours even if you were talking about watching paint dry. PS. I LOVE the outtakes....

Most helpful tip? Well, as I walk a lot, I talk to myself (after carefully looking over my shoulder - in case someone hears me) often asking questions and then listening for the answer - so... giving myself a pep-talk before presenting a rather complex subject on my podcast, should work. We'll see. Thanks for the great presentations!

    Katie, great content as usual.
I noticed that the color balance on camera #2 is not the same as camera #1; is that intentional?

Really like the structure of your videos! Im taking notes but really would like transcripts. Im short on time so I need to make the most of my learning opportunities. Where can I find your transcripts?

The most helpful tip is to leave additional recording time. I have had several times where something had popped up and I took longer than originally planned.

Hey Katie. I like the new set up, but it looks so tidy that it could be a fake background. Sounds silly but if there is a way to have some movement in the background - even someone walking behind you will make it feel lived in. Great video. Thanks for the tips.

I never thought about that, but you're not wrong! Those virtual living rooms are definitely staged to perfection. I need to toss one of my kids' toys in the background next time lol...

I like the depth, texture, and 'this is my home' intimacy of your set. I notice no books in the background. Is that intentional or a happy accident? Books are quite common in many a pro and amateur Zoom setup these days. While they intrigue, I think they can distract from the presentation at hand. Also they tempt us to guess which 'tribe' you may belong to. Sad fact of our moment in history I guess.

Thanks, Troy! The lack of books wasn't intentional, but that is my actual living room in the background! All my books are stored in another space. (And they're pretty non-controversial...Little Women, Harry Potter series, Jane Eyre...haha)
