And then those goddamn blue statues (forgot their name, you most certainly know what I mean tho) attacking you even though they have no chance to beat you, like ever
Man this really was the best game on the DS. The multiplayer was unlike anything else on that console. I remember beating the game multiple times with my brothers and spending all night just wandering around the grottos. Good times.
It's remarkable just how much content they managed to cram into a tiny DS cartridge. A storyline that takes about 50 hours even if you're gunning it, more quests than I can even imagine, over 300 unique enemies, 12 different vocations each with their own skill trees, gear you could visibly equip, a practically infinite postgame, dialogue that changes in towns after the most minute plot advancement. Absolutely incredible.
What is this strange feeling inside of my heart My heart broke into thousand tiny pieces And I try to grab them - one by one but there is one missing piece So I keep walking down that dark path Straight into full darkness In hope of finding what fullfills my existence I will never get used to this feeling How long has it been? Over the years I forgot what I was looking for There is nothing around me Pure nothingness It consumed my heart Why do I even keep walking? Why do I go through this pain? How could I forget my duty? My last missing piece. After I looked in my heart I realized that I have already found it My whole life wasted for this tiny precious thing But in that whole mess I didn’t notice That I have lost my other pieces forever
Everyone talking bout liquid metal slimes in the bowhole, I'm just here thinking about the hours spent trying to figure out how to progress in the doomgale castle or whatever it was called
2 hours hearing this theme while hunting Liquid Metal Slimes...

'WARNING: You 'ave bin warned.'
That is probably the best warning sign I’ve ever found in general!
I'd pay an absurd amount of money for a dq9 remake
I KNOW RIGHT
Same
I wouldn’t even hesitate paying a hundred quid for it
To True my friend to true
I'd pay for Final Fantasy IX too.
I swear I can hear the little *ding* of running monsters

The grottos thing was so addictive and so cool

That's not nostalgia if you keep playing the game 🤔

For me, it was the Bad Cave. It took me so long to figure out how to get through that dungeon.
@@naquris4241 and tyrantula was a nightmare to beat
@@grub833 Venomissile was quite a problem, especially when none of my characters knew Squelch.

God this is great
who else thinks this does not sound scary. but somber. like some fallen angel thinking about his now dead ex
when i hear this im like "well shit here we go. either i have a boss or smth spooky"
Wew, it would be easier to fight thieves than evil monsters, i'd wager.
