Hi both , great vid Amsterdam is my wife’s birth place so great to c where u went , love the boat trips recognised all the areas u filmed, not been to any of the camp sites as we have a place in Holland so we don’t always take the moto , we went to Arnhem with friends and visited the museum where market garden was run from big old house which is now turned back to how it was in the war well with seeing, we visited Croatia two years ago what a great place we stayed on a camp site in togeria really nice site as where many we visited , I think u will enjoy Croatia will u stop off in Italy as we found a great place on lake orta completely unspoiled , well I’ve rattled on enough keep up the good work cheers both thanks for the Amsterdam memories we will be there in October cheers
Behind the Central Station in Amsterdam, there use to be many piers now just some of them are left, before barges use to moor there and the fifth of December 1991 we had moored our barge there because we were getting a baby. So my daughter is born behind the Central Station in Amsterdam 😀.
About the old style bikes in Amsterdam, they have to be old/shabby to not be stolen, kalled "stations fiets" (bike you can park by the train station and find again after work).

I noticed NL don’t allow wild camping, which hadn’t occurred to me, so if you’re up for it, perhaps a video on how you went about setting your budget, and then updates as to how well you’re sticking to it as you progress through the trip. Assuming of course you did budget 😊. I watched your earlier vid on all the logistical prep and kit for the trip - and this might complete the whole thing.

John Mandy and Cooper, I sometimes watch TH-cam channels I'm subscribed to just to see what people are up to while I'm struggling to make interesting content myself because being at work full time I struggle to get away in the van at the moment. However...I am thoroughly enjoying watching these travelling vlogs and it's great to see you back on the road. Was good to see Greg too. Wish I could do the same but it isn't gonna happen until I retire in March and even then I won't be able to travel as much as you do. Until then....I will enjoy watching your vlogs and your travels. Great vlog guys 👌 the campsite looked fab and with the metro outside a great was to explore Amsterdam. I have always been worried about driving on the continent but you are definitely firing up my enthusiasm. Loved the bits about Dunkirk and Arnhem, I also want to visit Thiepval as my great uncle died on the Somme and we have the copy of his inscription on the memorial.
Thank you 😁 the campsite was perfect and very reasonable considering it’s location 😁 I was like that at first but ended towing caravans all over France fearlessly 🙌🏻 We have visited Thiepval before and arrived on a misty day - I couldn’t talk the whole time, it was very humbling and somber, just the sheer scale of it. It’s under renovation at the mo so is closed to visitors ❤️

We have refillable lpg bottles, we cook on electric or gas, nothing to do with why we eat out, that’s for socialising. Maybe watch a few of our older videos to see how our van is setup offgrid and how we live & travel 👍🏻

If you visit Lithuania then Hill of Crosses is a must see. You can stay overnight in the car park. Riga in Latvia is one of our favourite cities. There’s a parking area on the outskirts and you walk across the bridge to the city.

In Bulgaria there are some small old towns by the coast of the Black Sea, Nessebar and Sozopol. Originally they belonged to Greece and they have old wooden houses that are very special. I've seen pictures from the city of Plovdiv (in the inland) and it looks very interesting - the houses are in all kinds of colours. I've never been there myself, but I would definitely like to check that city out next time I visit Bulgaria. It looked very nice your boattrip by night in Amsterdam. I have one question about your electrical bikes. Can you charge them from your car or do they have to be connected to the grid? I'm thinking of getting one myself next year.

Suggestions .... Croatia go to Split , the old town is built inside of a Roman emporer's palace .For Poland ,Kracow is great again the old town area :) Not sure how both places are for Motorhomes though .
Did you notice how the natives don't wear bike helmets? Cycling is seen a safe activity in the Netherlands, and as you noted there is a priority system that favours the most vulnerable a all times. So vehicles have to give way to everyone else, cycles should give way to pedestrians.
What was the name of the campsite you stayed at in Amsterdam? Can you provide this info for all the commercial sites you stay at? The last one I stayed at was a long distance from the metro

we have 1300 LPG service stations in the netherlands, so availability is very good, from as cheap as 0,69 euro to 0,99euro
We did see a lot of filling stations but not as many as in France 😁👍🏻

Am thinking of going to Amsterdam in May and wondered what the name of the camp site was please?
In Bulgaria there are some small old towns by the coast of the Black Sea, Nessebar and Sozopol. Originally they belonged to Greece and they have old wooden houses that are very special. I've seen pictures from the city of Plovdiv (in the inland) and it looks very interesting - the houses are in all kinds of colours. I've never been there myself, but I would definitely like to check that city out next time I visit Bulgaria. It looked very nice your boattrip by night in Amsterdam. I have one question about your electrical bikes. Can you charge them from your car or do they have to be connected to the grid? I'm thinking of getting one myself next year.

Suggestions .... Croatia go to Split , the old town is built inside of a Roman emporer's palace .For Poland ,Kracow is great again the old town area :) Not sure how both places are for Motorhomes though .

Did you notice how the natives don't wear bike helmets? Cycling is seen a safe activity in the Netherlands, and as you noted there is a priority system that favours the most vulnerable a all times. So vehicles have to give way to everyone else, cycles should give way to pedestrians.
It’s a very good system. We did notice the lack of helmets as we were riding and walking around 😁

The campsite was Gaasper Camping and we just jumped on one of the boats opposite Centraal station (near the S3x museum 😂)
