Another wonderful video Patrick....the cubs seem to be showing their own personalities which is lovely to see. Simone must have the patience of a saint❤
One of those cubs seems fascinated by the rocking chairs. In the older videos, I can see the furthest chair moving around. I'm assuming it was the same cub that climbed through the closer chair this time (at the 1:00 mark).

I'm so happy to see all these Bears today. So a mommy bear can leave the baby bears and they'll stay and be good. Wow. I'm learning a lot about bear life. Thank you Patrick
I said "Get up the tree and stay there." or "Behave or I will send you to your tree." There might be an advantage to thinking like a bear. Their lives are less cluttered. Sit in the creek when it's hot. Cruise by Patrick's for a little bird seed. Get acquainted with a bear of the opposite sex. Sleep all winter. Yeah bear seems pretty good.
She wants to show her babies off, just like a human mother. How does she manage with FOUR cubs? 🐻🐻🐻🐻 Does she count them all everytime they go anywhere? Edit: That reminds me of my younger brother who got left behind at our church one Sunday. My dad had a key. He slept through the whole ordeal!
Patrick, I don't remember Simone getting that close to you before. It's amazing, the amount of trust she has for you. Just letting the cubs play all over and not being concerned is truly amazing.
I wouldn’t say it’s trust as much as it’s an understanding that it’s in no real danger regardless as it could with little trouble maul this man to death if it wanted to.
Wow that was a little too close for comfort. You are one brave man Patrick. As much as I love seeing Simone and her cubs I would hate it if she ever did anything to you. Please be safe. ❤️
I don't understand how he can be so calm with a great big bear staring him in the face and being protective of her cubs as well. All it would take a a wrong move before a bear attack.
So exciting to see Simone and her cubbies again. It's clear there's plenty for them to eat in the woods, because Simone is nicely rounded, and the cubs are playful and energetic. Love how the one got into the tub of water, and left a trail of wet footprints. Hope to see this family of bears again soon.
Patrick, can you imagine if you'd cooked bacon for breakfast and your clothes still had that aroma when Simone got up close? Also, it seems she came out of hibernation super heavy. Rotund. _"Patrick, can you imagine if you'd cooked bacon for breakfast and your clothes still had that aroma when Simone got up close?"_ Precisely. Am I the only person here who fears Patrick is conducting a dangerous, potentially deadly, project? Cute until it's no longer cute... Maybe given Patrick's experience with wildlife, there's a 98% chance that everything will be OK, but do you really want to risk that 2% negative possibility? Really??
@@Muddy283 Apparently he does - and why not? Do you know your odds of being in a bad car crash or similar? Is life solely about being "safe"? Humanity would be nowhere and life would be dull, boring, and fearful...
@@Muddy283 from looking through his videos, it seems like he has known the mama bear for 5 years and has even gained her trust to the point where she allows her babies to be near him. i don't see why she would ever harm him. animals are not so unpredictable, they never harm anyone unless they feel a need to, and he never does anything threatening.
@@jesss101 Just my opinion, but I think it's never a good idea to get friendly with big, powerful and potentially dangerous wild animals. Apart from anything else, not only mama bear but also her cubs are getting habituated to contact with humans in human colonies. Even if I follow your argument that Simone is totally benign and will always be so in any situation to Patrick, we have to accept that her cubs are learning to feel comfortable in human territory and will have their own personalities - and they will find mates who may copy their behaviour and have maybe very different and maybe aggressive personalities. Also Simone herself is getting more and more comfortable roaming around Patrick's neighbourhood and the way other humans in that neighbourhood react may provoke different reactions from her. To my mind, this is an irresponsible and dangerous project, and can only end badly. Just my 2 cents worth.
@@BobC59 Life is all about managing danger and risks. I, for one, have a project as a 73-year old retired person to start regularly solo bikepacking with wild camping frequently thrown in. So you could hardly describe me as the typical boring and unadventurous type. I just think that fraternising with wild bears in human populated neighbourhoods is an irresponsible and dangerous project, not least for your neighbours living around you. Again, just my 2 cents worth...
This is so beautiful and such an honour that Simone trusts you so much. I take it you never feed them? I suppose that wouldn’t be wise to encourage her but how lovely that she visits you like this. Are you never just a little nervous though - I probably would be. 😄 Thank you so much for sharing your amazing videos - they brighten my day. 💖
@@reza_dc2 The reason you dont feed wild animals is you sabotage them. They need to be able to survive without you. If they think they can just go to you for food, thats how theyll believe they are supposed to forage. Path of least resistance. Let me tell you what you dont want a generation of bears associating you with: Food. Because if theyre coming to you to eat, youre one missed meal away from being their next meal. Or what if you move. Theyre still coming back to your house for food. They could very well starve trying to find you instead of learning to actually forage for food. If you feed an animal, you damn well better be prepared to feed it for the rest of its mortal days.
It’s so funny watching those little cubs, getting into a little bit of shenanigans just like little children. It is so neat to watch and that mama bear I guess came right up to you and you did the right thing by not giving them a treat. Anyway, you’re a lucky guy to have those kind of visitors.
Impressive demonstration of boundaries naturally respected by both species - humans and animals. You are part of Simone's life, the way she is part of yours.
Obviously, Simone thought that her first visit, punctuated by an up close and personal reminder about bird seed, would encourage you to put out some seed for her second visit. Her snort of disappointment was clear. But those cubbies! They are beyond cute. It would be interesting to see if their pop's coat was more brown than black. Many thanks, Patrick, for your Friday gift.

@@Bananadiva1 please don't take this single video as proof, there are so many bear attacks out there. There's a reason why bears are said to be very unpredictable. I know a lot of people freak out seeing your video's, because the don't understand how you can grow a safe bond with a "wild" animal, but for sure, Simone will never do you wrong, after all the time you spend together. Patrick is really teaching us a lot about bears. What to do, what not to do. And we get to see those stinking ADORABLE cubs!!! 🩷🩷🩷
Hello Patrick. I’m glad you have put the birdseed away. They don’t need it this time of year, and Simone is getting a little too comfortable around you. The bears are looking good, enjoying the sunshine. Take care darling xx
Agree! And nursing four Cubs, she has to be four times as hungry!
@@LindaC616 She sure doesn't look like she's starving, though, lol.
Simone to Patrick-"Come on, Uncle Pat, Put up the birdseed. I have four mouths to feed". LOL. Oh well, Simone has to remember that the birdseed is for the birds, which she and her cubs occasionally get from the leftovers or first come, first served. She and her cubs continue to look good. I'm glad to see them again. Simone was such a good girl, as always to listen when you tell her "no". Thanks for the visit Mom and babies and thanks for sharing the video, Patrick.
Those little wet footprints just made my day! 🐾🐻😂
Someone should have taken a close up picture of those footprints and framed it. That would be adorable and a great keepsake.
I know. That was so cute!
❤Love how tte light brown cub thrives for mommys attention for play and falls back. Simone looks as to say " not now sweetie'💕💋😂

She really wants those seeds! Don’t you get nervous when she comes so close? Those cubs are so cute. They’re amazing and I enjoy your content.
She'll end up eating him 😂

I love Bear Simone a lot but worry about Patrick when she hisses & huffs. I hope you’re taking safety precautions Mr. Patrick.😊
The bears look great! Those 4 little faces must be quite the site first thing in the morning. And Bear Simone coming back to double check for seeds was hysterical! 😂 🐻 ❤

@Sarah Nothing seems to ruffle her feathers (fur).
Glad to see the babies are back and safe. They are so adorable 🥰. That’s the first time I’ve seen Simone so up and personal with you. I don’t think she was happy you didn’t have anything for her. She’s such a good girl. I had to laugh 😂 when the baby bounced off of her. Be safe Patrick 🙏
She's ok. Think having 4 must be a butt kicker.
😂🐻❤️
I think Simone was saying: "Someone narc-ed that I was going through the cars... You should remember that I know where you live."
That cub with the brown face is a little stinker, LOL. I bet he's already giving Simone gray hairs!
@@meredithwhitcomb2354 That’s what I’ve been thinking lol. She really has her paws full this year cos I think there’s only one that sticks kind of close to her. The other three are very adventurous. I think uncle Patrick will have his hands full too.

From Australia, thank you for this. Wonderful to see these beautiful animals
I'm so happy to see all these Bears today. So a mommy bear can leave the baby bears and they'll stay and be good. Wow. I'm learning a lot about bear life. Thank you Patrick
They do it all the time. They often tree them. Ruby famously did it last year - th-cam.com/video/qm5mAGu_NzQ/w-d-xo.html

So exciting to see Simone and her cubbies again. It's clear there's plenty for them to eat in the woods, because Simone is nicely rounded, and the cubs are playful and energetic. Patrick, can you imagine if you'd cooked bacon for breakfast and your clothes still had that aroma when Simone got up close? Also, it seems she came out of hibernation super heavy. Rotund. She's so gorgeous and I love how the babies train from the get go for mortal combat. Thanks for posting for us. It's a real gift and we are very appreciative.
_"Patrick, can you imagine if you'd cooked bacon for breakfast and your clothes still had that aroma when Simone got up close?"_
Precisely.
In the previous video,Simone was alone so I am worried about her cubs. But I am so relieved to see this🤗 Thanks for sharing Patrick 👍
She looks like she wouldn't harm a fly. Love her Teddy bear like cubs 🧸
I really think she was asking for food when she kept approaching you. Smart animal. She knows you. She trust you. Simply amazing! Love your videos!!
yeah man , I would feed the mom.

Oh I love baby bears .always doing funny stuff ,too cute😊 four babies ,she’s a good momma👍👍

It's clear that, over time, you have become an important element in Simone's life. She feels 100% safe with you. It truly seems like she's looking for your touch, seeking connection at a higher level.
I know a lot of people freak out seeing your video's, because the don't understand how you can grow a safe bond with a "wild" animal, but for sure, Simone will never do you wrong, after all the time you spend together. I wouldn't be surprised, that if you were attacked by a human/ animal, or something happends to you, and Simone is around, she will protect you.
Even more, that if you give her a rub, she will transform to a lapdog, and you end up with 4 cubs hugging you. 🥰😂
