  • Nylon Scrubbies are a must have in every household and can be used for so many things.
Follow along in this tutorial and let’s make some together.
This was my mothers pattern. She made literally thousands over the years and she couldn’t make them as fast as they sold! She never bought even one skein of nylon.
    Her pattern exposed!

Just want to say I've watched this numerous times, paused and watched the same part over and over til I got it right.
My grandma made some similar before she passed away so I have been trying to figure out how to make them. Yours is the first one I watched that was detailed enough and easy to follow. Thank you!

This is PERFECT! I bought bolts and bolts of tule to use as garden netting but I couldn't manage it by myself and the only row cover I made degraded in the UV over 1½ years. The only problem is I only have white color, but it will be just fine for making multicolor scrubbies.
Your voice is so warm and kind. I think I would absolutely enjoy having coffee and help you cut up your bolts of tule! ❤️

Perfect!!! We're financially tight at the moment and I've been thinking of making little bags of hand-made gifts for friends and family for different special occasions. This would be an absolutely perfect addition to a bag full of love!

These are loved by anyone you would give them to. Choose the courser netting. Generally the light colours are not good.
Please show us in the FB group if you make them. 🥰

OMGOSH! I am SO happy I found this very pattern! My grandmother made these, they are the most durable ones. My grandmother tried to teach me when I was young, but I am left handed and I just could not get it. Now as I am older, I have figured out how to crochet, I have been looking for a pattern I like. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing!

Using the longest length stitch on your machine, run a single stitch down the middle. This will hold your fabric together as you cut, and keeps your strips in nice neat bundles. When you go to use the bundle, rip out the stitch holding it together.

I like this pattern better than the one I've been using. When I'm cutting my strips I will cut a few larger ones to use as stuffing. I also tie on a different color at the end of a row for a striped effect.

Advice to stay in camera if you are unsure if you are. Put a placemat or any "marker" on the table that is big enough to work over and it is within your lens screen. This will help you know if you are starting to go off camera. You can even use pretty tape, clear tape, neutral painters tape, or what ever you have.

@@mhaen7539 I’m sure it will. If it is softer and doesn’t have a scratchy feel to it then cut the strips a bit wider. Some colours are not as course feeling and they seem a bit thinner to me so that’s why I cut them a bit wider.

I noticed that you don’t count the chain 2 as one of the 24 double crochets. Is that correct?
    Thank you!!!

    • @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
      @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet  ปีที่แล้ว

That’s correct. Some people count it. I generally never do. You could if you wanted. When you slip stitch to join then you would go into the top of the chain 2 rather than the first DC.
