What a fantastic band of artists. Jon on drums, Clem on guitar, Dave on Organ, Mark on bass and Chris “der Klangkörper“ on vocals. Colosseum live 71 ist eines der besten Live Albums in der Musikgeschichte.❤ R.I.P Jon and Dick.
An all time great band; brilliant compositions with Valentine Suite being their pinnacle but that’s not to take away from one of the greatest and most underrated singers and showmen of all time in Chris Farlow. The band has everything. It’s sad that some of them are not with us now, but their music is and it’s great to know the band still tours. The best jazz rock fusion (or however you describe them) band ever!
Easily the greatest group of musicians in rock history. Jon's dialogue throughout is a treasure of musical history. To say this might be their greatest performance of Valentyne Suite is a compliment of compliments. Research the band and all the work, you will be glad you did. My appreciation has lasted for over 50 years and continues to grow. Just amazing. Jim Lochead

I had never heard of this band until looking up atomic rooster a couple weeks ago…and still-then not until I left my phone playing from them tonight and this came on. What a freaking awesome happy accident!! I don’t even know who is in this band but they’re pretty good… As a drummer myself , this drummer is killing it. Sweet!
@JordanHowellMusic - similar story - bought In Hearing of... out of a bargain bin back in '72 for the cover art - geez, decent band and soon after grabbed Made in England - wow what a great band - but it was 3 yrs later, while walking down a side street in Calgary that i heard what surely must be a new Rooster album emanating from this little 2nd hand record store's speaker - the unmistakable voice of Chris Farlowe drew me in and i walked out with an armful of Colosseum and Rooster albums - to my ears Colosseum is nonpareil in both senses of the word
I love Chris Farlowe. I beg your pardon if you feel i'm a bit "outragous", but I saw you on a video with atomic Rooster, and you where always eating all song long... I see now the results...(it's a joke, pardon me). You're a giant.
Wonderful musos, but Farlowes vocals are simply awful, and his facial expressions are even worse. Hes the sole reason I stopped liking their music back in 1970. He wasn't with them at Bath where they got a standing ovation, they really did not need him. RIP Dick and John
simply one of the best bands of all time
get a lot of the best bands of all time

John Hiseman was one of zhe greatest drummers in history. Maybe the greatest.
Jon Hiseman was the best Jazz, Rock, Blues Drummer in the early 70's.
