Thank you, thank you, thank you!! You saved my cosplay. I put on my (last minute) store bought Loki horns last night for some final tweaks and they cut me! I tried sanding them, adding foam inside and nothing worked. They were still super jaggy so I jumped online and found your pattern. I had some 6mm and 3mm foam so I glued 3 layers of 3mm together to get close to the 10mm and whipped up some horns in 2 hours plus painting and I'm wearing them to con today! They could be a little more polished of course but for a quick build that won't cut me I'm so happy!
Always amazed how generous you are for sharing this knowledge with us. The templates are free and so are those videos. Also you go straight to the point and we are not buried under a tone of ads. Thanks so much !!
Sounds funny but my mind was blown when you used the dremel for the v cuts. I use an xacto knife and my v cuts were very inconsistent, plus sometimes I never truly cut the v accurate enough, either too thin or too wide. Never once did I think about using the corner of the sanding drum on the dremel to do the v cuts! So much simpler as well. Thank you for broadening my knowledge!!!
@@SKSProps I apologize for the follow up, but i was going to attempt to build this, but i noticed the template was in PDF. I have never used PDF templates before, how do i go about scaling something that is in PDF?
Thank you for this. I made one for a friend whose kid decided late in the week that they wanted to go as Loki for Halloween. A day later and I was able to present this to them. Side note: first time using your HD foam and what a difference it made. Fantastic product!
I made this and Lady Loki following your videos. They turned out so good, I’m still shocked that I made it lol. The only change I made was I used gold leaf rub n buff on top! I already had the rub n buff because I refinish antiques. I love the gold look it gave it! Today was the day my daughter had to wear it to school and everyone is going crazy over it 💛
@@SKSProps we did it! we had to make due with some different foam thicknesses bc the craft store was low, and we cut some corners bc of time, but it still turned out awesome! and now we have the tools and a TON of leftover foam so we can do more projects and take our time.
Can you please do a tutorial for loki daggers or sylvie daggers? Trying to cosplay for Halloween, we live your videos! Extremely helpful and easy to follow!
Hey. I find your tutorial really great and am looking forward to rebuild the crown itself👌💚. I have only one small problem. I live in Germany and there are not these glues. What can I use instead? Thanks for the help. 🙏🙏🙏
I'm very new to working with foam (and any cosplay stuff in general) and I don't have access to a Dremel tool. is it possible to do an acceptable job using an x-acto knife and varying grades of sandpaper?
You can easily cut foam with a knife but sandpaper will have a tendency to make the foam fuzzy. You can get a rotary tool for about $20 with a flex shaft if you plan on working with foam a rotary tool is pretty necessary Check this one out m.th-cam.com/video/7j1b0dTu2y8/w-d-xo.html
Hi! I'm planning to make this but I have a few questions :) 1. my head is slightly smaller, will it work if i just print the template a smaller size? 2. i don't have a dremel so can i use sandpaper? 3. will the results differ if i omitted the primer and just used the rubber paint and spray paint? Thanks!!
Yep just scale it a little bit You’d want to use a pretty high grit to minimize the fuzzies rougher sandpsper will leave. Might look into getting a rotary tool they are pretty cheap online these days You can use any paints available to you
Plasti dip is not good for you while spraying it that’s why you need to wear a respirator. But after it cures there are no skin issues that I’m aware of. If you want not toxic brushable options check out some of my other videos where I use Flexbond, plaid fx, and creature cast
I did a review on a $20 Wen you can check out th-cam.com/video/7j1b0dTu2y8/w-d-xo.html But you pretty much will need some kind of rotary tool when working with foam

You can use any contact cement or super glue you wouldn’t need to use these specific brands. Have fun with the build 👍
Make friends with an American stationed at a military base and ask them to grab you some from the commissary.
Any chance you’re planning to give Kid Loki’s crown a shot? 😁 Bought all your foam!
Love it
Can you do a tutorial for how to get a template
so excited to make this! just one question: how can you print it off for use without abobe? it's not available to me ToT
Amezing, is beautifull
Thanks!!
Tysm for the tutorial and the free template! Just wanted to ask if I can make it with cardboard instead of hd foam
You’re welcome! You can try the cardboard won’t bend to a complex curve quite like the foam will
Amazing
Thank you! 👍
This vid was amazing! By any chance, would you make tutorials of the x-blade or the Master's Defender keyblade?
Can you make sly cooper cane
Might make this for my girlfriend(Loki is her favourite character too), thank you good sir, maybe maleficent head piece one day too?
Thanks and I hope she likes it. I am always looking for new ideas just depends on what inspires me week to week 👍

You’d still want to seal the foam first with Plasti dip or mod podge but after that you can use regular acrylics
@@SKSProps thank you so much!
I noticed you don't cut on the lines..Is it because it's way easier to beval the edges?
I'll usually get close then clean it up with my bandsaw, scissors, or the dremel. Helps me get the angles of the cut just right
what is the size of the paper print out , A4?
Paper size doesn’t matter watch the how to print templates video
