Between Lombardo's musicianship, Tom's great range of singing and Kerry and that lateJeffs brilliant lycics these guys could have had incredible mainstream success. If they had played grunge they would've been the third Titan of grunge with Nirvana, Pearl jam and Slayer. The only metal band that wrote such compelling lyrics with great guitar riffs was black sabbath. If they wanted to be commercial pop they would of been up there with Duran Duran or REM. But thank God they were willing to make a lot less money to play the music they're most passionate about. Evon steven king can't beleive how eloquent their lyri s are. But without Dave Lombardo theyre not the same
