- Yeah, mutants are strong alright. However, there exists a large gap between the average mutant and what you would call an Omega Level Mutant.
When a mutant attains this coveted title, it simply means that there are no defined upper limits to their abilities. We all love Wolverine. But there’s only so much you can do with a regenerative body and adamantium claws. This limitation does not exist for the ones who are going to be making it to this list.
Omega Level Mutants are Earthly beings with powers so immense that many of them can actually go toe-to-toe with celestial beings. It is not crazy for them to possess limitless cosmic powers, the most notable example for this being Jean Grey due to her connection to the Phoenix Force. - บันเทิง

I don't understand why Magneto's ability to manipulate light, and the weak-force aren't ever discussed. If he can control a magnetic field, he can control light and therefore the electroweak force. He can initiate and contain a fusion reaction, cause atomic nuclei to split or emit radioactive alpha and beta particles. He would be practically unstoppable, with far greater powers than he is shown as having.
May not have that precise level of control? Dunno

I'm not saying it couldn't be written where his control extends so far, for example, manipulating more than so much energy at once. My point is that ALL the phenomena I listed, and more I didn't are the SAME thing. You could decide he isn't able to contol it at the unification threshold energies aka where electromagentism and the weak force recombine, but even then most of it still applies. My point was how much cooler he would be using actual science than a fictional pretext, that is super super rare! I love fiction and am regularly willing to suspend disbelief and have fun, but on this one we don't have to.
Jean Grey is the Gwen Tennyson of Marvel, extremely powerful but held back by the writers.

Too much power tells a poor story. A morally unblemished person that can do anything without the threat of real opposition is just not interesting for long. It's similar to the problems in telling a good Franklin Richards story. How do you tell a convincing story about a person that sees everything and can do anything. They never go more than a handful of issues before interest wanes.
Okay I get it, Jean Grey is like Hashirama, so OP that everybody needs to be somehow related to her to be an OP too.

@@biboysitoy5133 In the comics, he was unable to resist Xavier's telepathy in the past so he created a newer helmet with circuitry that would block telepathy. Eventually, he would train his psionic defenses to the point that he can resist most telepathy short of a full-force psionic blast. It is now impossible to have his mind read unless he willingly allows it.

Legion is by far the most neatly produced, brilliantly written supe show on TV. I had to watch season 1 atleast twice before I could really appreciate all the little details. But the re-watch was even more enjoyable than the first time.

The scary thing about Quentin Quire, is that he didn't start out powerful. He engaged in a psychic pyramid scheme, where he got other telepaths to link up some of their psychic power and processing to his, so he could boost his powers. Then it caused his own powers to become boosted past the point of needing the link-up, and his power just kept growing. That was pretty smart of him.

Storm was labeled an Alpha Mutant well into the 2000s. Fans pointed out for years how her powers made more sense as Omega level and she wasn’t classified as such until more recently.

Storm & Iceman's power, like Jean Grey's, are touched upon but not fully explained. Their capabilities are seldom really fully unleashed. You only get to see snippits across the years of comics. Because of the level of control they have to exert in battle that focuses on the enemy and does not get their allies caught in the crossfire hinders us from truly seeing just how omega they are. Their powers are so much they could alter the entire planet in a moment

I think they missed Onslaught\ Professor X, and Gambit. In the spin off comic book Gambit that came out in the late 90"s early 2000's we learn that Gambits dealings with Mr. Sinister was because Mr. Sinister took some of Gambits power. Gambit had the the power to charge inanimate and animate objects with conetic energy to make an object explode. A version of Gambit had become so powerful that he destroyed his earth and came to the earth of our beloved Cajun in order to make sure he would not do the same. Taking on the name either new son or red son, don't remember which,. So to me an over powered Gambit that can blow up a planet or person makes him an Omega powered mutant.

Because omega doesn't always mean most powerful. Charles Xavier, Apocalypse, Forge, Namor and Storm are considered the most powerful Alpha level mutants. Omega would just mean that they have potential for further mutation and/or secondary powers.

Charles Xavier telepathic ability is far stronger than jean grey, jeans mutation is mostly telekinesis and she can read peoples minds not control them like Charles Xavier

Unpopular opinion, I'm sick of all the hype and love for Jean Grey and the Summers family. I could be wrong, but it just seems like they are the go to for writers of any X-Men story.
Cyclops has been pooped on for years. He went from a Boy Scout. To a bad husband but regretful with occasional strategic brilliance. To being written off and hidden after being merged with Apocalypse. To a bad husband again. To a militant almost Magneto. To a murderer of Professor X. Then they offed him offscreen. Then suddenly he’s in a trist with Wolverine and Jean. Last time his character was decent was in Astonishing imo.

i understand why the sheriff put bobby into custedy and it was for his own protection for sure and the people would also see that the sheriff was investigating the insident to see what was going on to, to find out if bobby knew what he was doing etc.
Part of the reason why he can warp reality is that order to save his and Sue's life Mister Fantastic went into the Negative Zone and got the cosmic ride in order to use it to make sure that Susan gave birth safely
Woch makes his son a freak not a mutan. Hulk got his powers from Gama radiation. Spiderman got his powers from a radioactive spider . AL the fantastic 4 got there powers from cosmic radiation there all freaks. Franklin got him powers from the cosmic control rod . Hum sounds just like the way everyone I mentioned got their powers

If I time traveled back in time and stabed Steve Roger's mom in the stumic with super soldier serum he still become a freak . Life starts at conception. Yes Steve is a freak . In 2020 Franklin tried to use the mutant teleportation gates that only work for mutants and it didnt work . It was found out Franklin was using his reality warping powers to make it look like he was a mutant. His sister I am not sure on her powers I am more of a Franklin fan
It's not quite the same. In order to use the super soldier serum it's a two-part process not only do you get injected with the serum but you have to have it activated through some form of radiation. In fact a lot of people think that the mutants the X-Men or a result of the radiation from the atomic bomb and the nuclear incidents that have happened all over the world. At least in the comics that used to be part of the explanation that the atomic radiation affected the parents and calls the children to be born with powers

Most people wouldn't think Apocalypse is Omega level. But he is!!!! He can match up with Thor, and face the Hulk effortlessly. Plus!!? He's powered by celestial tech, that brings up too a level of a god.

He does both. He can absorb people into his mind and those personalities can become alter-egos that take over. However all the powers that Legion manifests are his own. He also creates personalities at random with random powers. One is a dinosaur with a clock in its mouth, one is the Oracle of Delphi that can answer any three questions. It is my opinion that Legion really only has two superpowers, Reality Manipulation and Time Manipulation. His reality manipulation allows him to mirror and manifest any power he wishes except time manipulation. He creates split personalities in an attempt to control his powers because they are nearly limitless. His biggest weakness is his own lack of control over his powers and his personalities. If he ever gained full control of his powers he might be the most powerful being in existence. In one story the Old Gods awakened, hundreds if not thousands of beings that were Odin level power, Odin fought Galactus to a standstill. Magik convinced David to unleash his God Mutant personality, which erased all of these old gods from reality and time instantly.

Rachel Summers is not part of the list of Omega levels - that should be Hope. Also, include Jaime Braddock and Elixir. Franklin Richards is not part of the list anymore as he's not a mutant.

These lists are completely subjective because power levels are determined by a particular writer/director. That's why the same character is stronger/weaker based on the way the person telling it sees the outcome.

I am glad they retconned the Omega Level classification in House of X, making it only possible for a single person to be called Omega within their own power classification
So while Jean and Quentin are both Omega telepaths, Quentin’s is Intelligence based, and Jean’s is Power based.
I also like that the distinction allows for any mutant to possibly reach Omega level with their powers. Whereas the original classification would only grant it to those whose powers were energy or mentally based (with Iceman being an exception).
When did that retcon happen? I’ve read everything consistently god the last few years. I haven’t seen anything about Kid Omega being intellectually telepathic and Jean being power

I’ve been reading the comics in order starting with ‘43 and I’m more than half way through the 60s and it’s so funny to see some of these characters at their beginnings. Like Jean Grey as Marvel Girl or Wanda as Scarlet Witch in their early comics are not even close to as powerful as they are now. Like I haven’t even gotten to the point where they show jean greys or magnetos or Wanda’s past traumas they just kinda exist lol

Okay, you're taking a lot of liberties with Magneto. Resisting telepathic attack is only with his helmet not a natural defence capability. He has a defined upper limit and always has had it. A few things you say Magneto can do he can't do. And....only 4 minutes in so far.
You're right. He is seriously off on that. Magneto is nowhere near an omega class mutant. He even admit so. He's an alpha class mutant, the 2nd most powerful mutant class.
@@TheWallReports Jonathan Hickman listed him as one of the 14 confirmed Omega-level mutants back in 2019. The list has been tweaked slightly since then (removing Franklin Richards and adding some new Krakoa mutants), but I believe Magneto is still on it.
At one point in the distant past, he had a vaguely defined resistance to psychic abilities, but in keeping with what you said, I believe that’s been retconned to be associated with the helmet.
Magneto is resistant to telepathy. The helmet thing came from the movies which the comics later incorporated.

Anyone that's been around and read Marvel comics since the 70s knows Magneto telepathic resistance came from the helmet. He's listed as a very powerful Alpha-level mutant, not Omega. This is not something that was 1st portrayed in movies and later integrated into the comics. To the commenter that said this, this is the most absurd comment I've ever made. The comics existed decades before any single movie was made.

@@psyavi6401 yes 😁 and she’s kinda like hulk in a sense too, the more angry she gets her rage makes her far more powerful, only her, Dr strange and Scarlett witch were ordained to become sorcerer or sorceress supreme, but out of all her feats it’s surprising her and Phoenix are the only ones to have merged with the higher Gods, it’s a shame they haven’t chased her witch lineage and explored her god merge more yet but Disney may be doing a flurry of series based on the xmen soon so hopefully she gets a real cool origins series that really delves into all of her history and displays her full powers to be reintroduced into the MCU now that she’s officially and omega level mutant 😁😍

Apocalypse should have been included, as he made & gave Exodus his powers, but yet Apocolypse wasn't mentioned as an Omega level mutant? Just curious about that omission. Also at least, Nate Grey, even if Nathan Summers/Cable can't be due to the techno-organic virus in his body.. Nate Grey could/maybe should have been included also.
Apocalypse is an interesting mutant but not omega level. He has the mutant power to control biology in living things like High Evolutionary, but on a lesser scale. Apocalypse does not create mutants he amplifies the existing gene and unlocks more potential instantly. This means he cannot create mutants he can only amplify what is already there, and not beyond the existing potential the person already had. He can manipulate his own mutant gene to imitate other powers but is limited in what he can do with them. High Evolutionary on the other hand is an altered human that has advanced their knowledge to the absolute limit. He can manipulate genetics on a level Apocalypse could only dream of. He can evolve humans into mutants, alter the mutant gene in crazy ways and and has stood toe to toe with Galactus. The existence of High Evolutionary proves that Apocalypse's powers are not limitless and not even the best in the category.
