I don't comment often, but wanted to say I really enjoy these sparring videos when you break down the action (with technique context). It's especially effective when it ties in with a previous video (like your "lean" video). The "theory" & "practice" pairing is highly educational. I realize time is a major limiting factor, but video trilogies of a weapon (history, cutting, reviews ect) that you tie in with technique (for that weapon) and sparring (with the weapon) videos would be awesome. It might also help you get the most videos out of your sparring time (in this example, longsword and highland broadsword would've been 2 videos, but could've been edited to include longsword from a previous session, for example).

I, for one, very much enjoy these sparring videos. Being someone who is still a beginner in HEMA, it provides some excellent insight into what a sparring match should look like. Keep up the good work, and I hope all is going well with the move!

With most beginner students, I have to remind them to 'throw more than one'; that is to say, to get out there and throw combos of attacks, put your cuts together and perform multiple attacks in quick succession.
For you, I would say 'throw more than two'; I'm noticing that after your second attack is deflected/blocked, you freeze, back up, and in doing so, move right into all of your partner's attack angles. If you mean to escape after your second attack, cut to the outside angle and step off line when you retreat, do not simply backpedal.

2 men fighting each other with steel sticks, you'd think it'd look primitive, but it's just the opposite, especially when they're so well trained. Thanks sir, I think these sparring matches really help round out the rest of the crew's videos (shad, lindybeige, metatron, etc.) Always nice to see the weapons and techniques in action, and the modest and fair commentary just makes it all the better. 👍
